“Had my first real coffee here almost 25 years ago. It was a double Shot In The Dark/Black Eye and it was outstanding. Still to this day, after having been to numerous coffee shops throughout numerous cities, it is still the best Shot in the Dark I've ever had. Penny Lane has great a vibe with plenty of atmosphere and culture.“

The food is consistently delicious. I love the smoked chicken, my husband loves the sausage! The menu offers something for everyone with a wide variety of tasty sides. And... the garlic bread is to die for!

Delicious food aside, the servers are stars! We've had different servers on each visit and every server has been wonderful. The service is quick, the servers are friendly and they make you feel welcome!“

“They responded in a civil way, so I changed my stars. But lastly, there is a sign in the window: no one under 21 allowed. Those signs don't give a lot of room for discussion or negotiation. If you really allow kids before 8, then why is the sign up at 4pm on a Saturday? The steins of beer looked nice!“

Two different times I have a had my order put together wrong and you all forgot a side item twice. And so why should I leave a tip if you won’t do your job correctly. Please do better“

“Surprisingly fantastic! Chicken thighs very comparable to Gus's world famous fried chicken. The spicy chicken thighs taste as if they were brined and were super juicy.

I would like more dipping sauce options, the potato wedges were good but needed some kind of dipping sauce.

Cant beat the value here for the price.“

“I ordered a dish that had two eggs, two slices of bacon, two sausage links, and french toast. I ordered my eggs over medium, and they were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered pancakes with maple syrup and peanut butter. The service was a little bit slow considering they weren't packed, but once we got our food, it was good. The waiter was kind. He seemed to be new. He forgot to bring a couple of things we asked for, but we gave him a good tip anyway. He seems to be a nice kid.

Heath is hands down one of the best bartenders I've got to meet (I'm a bartender of 20 years). Definitely an asset to the company. Highly recommend and Definitely will return. “We went the Smitty’s on a Sunday Night for our anniversary dinner and had the best dining experience a person could ask for. I had the Grouper Parmigiana, and my husband had the Italian Sausage and Peppers. Both were delicious; but that’s not the best part. -- When we started dating, I would always put a virtual candle up on my phone screen and set it on the table. Today, I did the same for old time’s sake. The waitress came to our table to take our drink order and noticed the virtual candle I has set up on the table and I casually mentioned it was our first anniversary and jokingly asked if it was a possible if they have a real candle laying around. WELL, WE GOT A REAL CANDLE. Michael, the assistant manager took it upon himself to make this happen. This man when to the dollar store to pick up a candle for us instead of just telling us it wasn’t possible, or they didn’t have one. THIS SIMPLE GESTURE MADE THE NIGHT SO SPECIAL. We took it home and are lighting it on the following anniversaries. – Other notes, the booths are so intimate and perfect for this type of occasion. We happened to be there on the one Sunday a month they do Jazz, they had a wine bottle deal we took advantage of, and the lovely waitress even acted as sommelier and poured us our first glass. You have earned our business for our following anniversaries, and we highly recommend dining here for such occasions. THANK YOU!“
