“This food hit the spot! My husband and I went together for lunch. We were seated right away. The sweet tea is good. We got the fried okra and BBQ for two. Not only did it come out fast and hot, but it was the perfect lunch, and we had chicken and brisket left over. They had many BBQ sauce options at the table, which is nice. The spicy BBQ isn't spicy at all, but boy, was it flavorful! Service was quick and yo the point, and that's how I like it when going to a place such as this.“

“They responded in a civil way, so I changed my stars. But lastly, there is a sign in the window: no one under 21 allowed. Those signs don't give a lot of room for discussion or negotiation. If you really allow kids before 8, then why is the sign up at 4pm on a Saturday? The steins of beer looked nice!“

“Love their food and with the drive thru is nice. I just wish you all would check the orders and make sure everything is there. Two different times I have a had my order put together wrong and you all forgot a side item twice. And so why should I leave a tip if you won’t do your job correctly. Please do better“

“Surprisingly fantastic! Chicken thighs very comparable to Gus's world famous fried chicken. The spicy chicken thighs taste as if they were brined and were super juicy.
I would like more dipping sauce options, the potato wedges were good but needed some kind of dipping sauce.
Cant beat the value here for the price.“

“I ordered a dish that had two eggs, two slices of bacon, two sausage links, and french toast. I ordered my eggs over medium, and they were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered pancakes with maple syrup and peanut butter. The service was a little bit slow considering they weren't packed, but once we got our food, it was good. The waiter was kind. He seemed to be new. He forgot to bring a couple of things we asked for, but we gave him a good tip anyway. He seems to be a nice kid.

“The company I work for uses Smitty's occasionally for work events. Yesterday we had a miscommunication, and when we got there to set up for our event they didn't know we were coming. Katie and the rest of the crew went above and beyond to quicly set up the private room and accommodate our 25 guests. I don't believe there is another restaurant in town that would have pulled this off for us, and Smitty's staff did it with grace and good humor. As always, the food and service were outstanding. Thank you, Katie, and the rest of the staff for helping to make our evening a great success!“

“Had my first real coffee here almost 25 years ago. It was a double Shot In The Dark/Black Eye and it was outstanding. Still to this day, after having been to numerous coffee shops throughout numerous cities, it is still the best Shot in the Dark I've ever had. Penny Lane has great a vibe with plenty of atmosphere and culture.“
