We aren't local and happened to be in Evansville for the day. Stopped here for lunch and left STUFFED. Not only was the good great, the staff was incredible-the gal working up front had the patience of a saint, sauces are incredible and the more we noticed about the atmosphere, the more we loved it! Definitely happy we stopped here!
Went 3 times, last time service a lil slow. But food Phenomenal. Tried The Brisket was confused Two Big Chunks of meat...Delicious. Tried the pulled pork sammich....Delicious. Ok Now half rack of ribs..Never touched the sauce. Straight off the grill winners everytime. Potato salad is awesome. Baked Beans are over the top. Seriously the baked beans are so good I could turn off the heat in my House. Big chunks of Bacon. Yum!! Service depends on the individual. But twice was great...
If you haven't been there the Reed Street barbecue is good. First of all I will start out with the chicken and dumplings they have an odd taste at first then you realize it's the smokiness of the chicken when it was smoked and I pretty sure that they are homemade dumplings delicious. The pulled pork sandwich is good make sure if you get it to go you get a barbecue sauce to put on it! The bakebeans are smokey and delicious. I will be back for more.
