Good Portuguese food! Very simple. Not anything too fancy or complicated. I have eaten here a couple of times! Each time something different. Seafood is fresh. Steak is juicy and tender. Burger tender and tasty and fresh. House red wine is tart and delish. What seems like a hole in a wall place is really a hidden gem!!!

I you want a nice place by the river to eat. You really need to go into the Shriners lil restaurant. The are always kid friendly. They have a patio that you can see the river walk from. The food is excellent and their buffet is $9.99. With a wide variety of things to choose from. The menu is something you will just have to see for yourself. The portions a big and the adult beverages are strong. They have a kids menu. The staff is friendly. They also can do private parties. So if you want a cozy quiet place to eat. I recommend them. Also you know it is the Shriners and money spent supports all their childrens programs.

The Red Fez located in the Evansville Hadi Shrine Temple is open to the public for dining with lunch and evening menus. Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays have a buffet available. The service is great and the food is well worth the price. It's a good option while on the riverfront on weekdays and dinner on Saturdays.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday they have a great buffet at a very reasonable price. Often crowded but we didn't have an issue with seating. Good variety of food and always tastes good as well. Definitely a good spot if you're downtown and especially if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.
