They charged us for 6 things and only received 5 and when we went to go get it they tried to charge us again and argued with us about it and then changed the price when I came to pick up what left out. I’m sorry but do not eat here. They are awful and don’t know customer service

The food is always terrific. My favorite is either the General Tso's Chicken or the sweet and sour pork with their very good dipping sauce. But I also like the different lomein noodles with either roast pork or chicken and the sides like the egg rolls or crab Rangoon are really good. My wife loves their mixed vegetables with shrimp as well as the egg drop soup while I enjoy the Wonton soup. The food is always good and they never disappoint on the quality.Parking: Tons of empty spaces in the parking lot but if you're going inside to pick up a takeout order there's plenty of open curbside space for a quick in and out.

The food is really good. My issue is I got a lunch special and it didn’t come with an egg roll. Every pickup Chinese I’ve been to includes an egg roll. The web site doesn’t say what each meal comes with so it’s unknown. Kinda silly. For the price I thought it would have had one.

Taste of China has been a west side staple for decades. The food was awesome as was the service and variety available. Sometime in the past few years it feels like either they don't care anymore or perhaps there are different owners/employees altogether. Last night we ordered lo mein, soup and eggrolls. The rolls and noodles were cold by the time I got home with them (4 minutes at best) and the quality of the lo mein was barely passable. There were no vegetables. At all. We won't be back.

A hidden gem on the west side that can't be beat for delicious Chinese takeout. I have tried all the favorites like lo mein, General Tso's and fried rice and none have disappointed.

Always a local treasure! I always recommend this place when someone’s unsure of what to eat for lunch or dinner. Great options, and great taste! Always amazing yet overlooked.

The food is great!!!!!! One of my long-time favorites. The building needs a lot of work, and it's kind of off putting. I do recommend the place, just don't look around too much. The kung pow chicken is great and I love their egg rolls. I recommend you call ahead and order

Food was dry and didn't taste good at all, considering how much it cost. We ordered Happy family, crab Rangoon and sweet and sour chicken. Teriyaki chicken was good.Vegetarian options: They offer vegetables only

My favorite Chinese place when I was in college in the 90s and it’s still there…my go to was chicken with garlic sauce, steamed rice, and wonton soup.

We love their food. It's always done right and tastes great. It's a plus that it's a West Side business and close by.

Taste of China is the unchanging staple of the westside. Walmart moves, ToC stays. Radio Shack dies, ToC lives. The weird old clothing retailer, now halloween store pop-up that may or may not be open next spooky season is but the change of the wind on the ancient oak tree that is ToC. The chair’s fabric has yet to be updated since the early 90s. Their good fortune calendar has been stuck on the date 08/26/2003. It’s a magical place where only the customers change - not the workers, not the aesthetics, not the food.ToC is the stability all westsiders want - nay NEED - whenever Reitz loses, the Kohls cash has dried up, or whenever one has to deal with the existential dread of living on the westside of EVV. That dread, the ONLY cure is hearing “ToC, WHAT U WAN!?” on the other end of the line. We like the abuse. It cures the dread. So does their Crab Rangoon. This is why I’ve gone here for nearly 20 years now. Any haters went once and it was bland, service bad, blah blah blah. NO. They don’t understand ToC. Byeee, Karens. Stay away. The loyal fans are what keep this place alive in their warm, sweet&sour embrace. Also… did I mention the Crab Rangoon?
