We had the grilled cheese, quesadilla and ice cream while stopping to charge our car. It was ok, but nothing worth going out of your way for and definitely not worth the $8 for each sandwich. No recycling for the glass bottles or anything else...which feels inconsistent with their messaging of a farm that cares about environmental sustainability.

Our go to place for ice creams! We absolutely love this for ice creams and grilled cheese! The ice creams are super fresh and have a lovely combinations.

Food : They have great cheeses and their grilled cheese is super average but the cheese is superb! Their ice creams and milkshakes are super tasty and definitely worth it! We love the sundaes as well!

Service : Super sweet and helpful team!

Ambience : Love the vibe! They’ve reduced their gift/toy section but they have an array of cheese and food and milk. They’ve got tons of ice cream flavours too!

I travel through this area a lot and wanted to try a new coffee place. This was my first visit to this area. I always drive on by. First, This is not a coffee shop but it does look like a nice Place for a lunch stop. Just know they only offer regular coffee which was great, but here’s why the low rating. I asked for cream for my coffee “I’m at the fair oaks dairy farm” so why not. They nice cashier points me to the sugar and cream stand. This is where I was shocked to find small prepackaged creamers to add to my coffee. Definitely disappointed! I guess I’ll continue to go to Starbucks where I’ll be able to get real milk or cream and not small prepackaged creamers.

You guys need to CHANGE something in your menu . While I was here , 2 families left because you don’t sell regular food , there is nothing “regular” here that can be ordered.
I came to eat and I also left because I can’t eat this , I don’t even eat cheese. I don’t eat your sandwiches, I don’t eat sandwiches at all.
So why don’t you make some regular , normal menu , acceptable for most of the people?!
I couldn’t eat here because I can’t eat this kind of food . Before you used to sell some regular food here , I was regular here .
I ll not be back to eat and I believe you do a big harm to your business with your nonsense menu.

Beautifully decorated and delicious! Gift shop has lots of cute merchandise and the Cafe has lots of options. We tried the ice cream and it was simply delicious, so smooth and tasty. If you’re driving by, should definitely plan a pit stop here. You can also get gas since it right next to gas station or you can charge your car since they lots of EV chargers.

Got a Cobb salad. Super disappointed that it was served with packaged chicken and packaged dressing, considering it was $10 and right next door in the restaurant is serving homemade ranch and real chicken.

Nice clean place. Sandwiches are good. Got a Cuban pork sandwich with several hairs in it so kind of watch out.

Great place to stop en route from Chicago to Indianapolis. Ice cream to die for!

Have made the stop between Indy and Chicago a couple of times just for ice cream and some cheese to take with us and both times have been awesome. Sundaes ($7) and Shakes ($7.50) have hit the spot and will keep us coming back any time we are passing by. Love the cheese options you can purchase, such as the 18 y/o cheddar we picked up last week. In case you're unsure which building it is, it's the one furthest to the north (across the parking lot from, but closest to the BP of the existing structures).

We haven't been here since the very beginning, when there was just the cow carousel viewing and the cheese making with the ice cream cafe. Now there are so many buildings, so we look forward to coming back when we have more time and our child is a bit older. For now, the ice cream options at the Cowfe were normal, but the taste doesn't taste homemade. There are a lot of additives besides the regular homemade ice cream ingredients. The grilled cheese tastes lovely, but half of a cheese slice seems to have gotten fried on the grill for my sandwich.

The grilled cheese deluxe with bacon was pretty good. I loved the bread and crispy cheese. The potato salad had a weird flavor, and I was underwhelmed with the ice cream flavor selection. The kid working the cheese register seemed like he hated his job. ?

The original "Farm" restaurant with soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch or early dinner. There is also a cheese area and new chocolate area. Traditional ice cream is also sold. A small gift shop still exists as well. The restaurant looks onto milk processing equipment through large glass windows. Unfortunately the bathroom, at least the men's, is one of the most poorly maintained of any restaurant I have seen in a while. They are usable, but not cleaned on any schedule that I could tell.

The food was great and fresh! The service was quick. Their gift shop had so many cute items like stuffed animals, pencils, shirts, lotion, and chocolates. We bought some cheese too and the guy at the counter was very nice and gave out free samples of some of the cheeses.

Good place for a quick meal. Nice big parking lot and open area to stretch your legs.
