“Best tenderloin stop on the way to Chicago

We stop here every time we’re on our way to Chicago and it never disappoints.

What we love:
- Tenderloin: They have the best tenderloin, hands down. Huge, hand-breaded, crispy outside and juicy inside. Bigger than the bun like a proper Indiana tenderloin should be.

- Atmosphere: Cozy farmhouse vibe with rustic wood and warm lighting. Super clean and welcoming. Great spot to relax and stretch your legs after I-65.

- Location: Easy off the highway near Indianapolis. Big parking lot, even for larger vehicles. Perfect midpoint break on a Chicago road trip.

- Service: Tammy was friendly and quick. They treat you like family.

If you’re heading to Chicago, plan to stop here. Order the tenderloin and you won’t regret it. Feels like a true Midwest hidden gem.

Tip: Get there hungry because the portions are big. The fries are great with it too.”

“The employees were nice and welcoming. My daughter ordered a cinnamon roll and a caramel latte. I ordered a cinnamon coffee drink, cheese danish, and a breakfast sandwich for us to split. The cinnamon roll was amazing. One of the best! The Danish was ok. Her carnal latte was good. The pastries alone were filling we didn't even need to split the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was the only downfall part of it was ice cold. But overall our visit was very pleasant and we would recommend. We will definitely go again.”

“I was in town for work and stopped in after the name caught my eye. The barista, Autumn, is so welcoming, kind, and informative! The coffee is insanely good. You can purchase standard varieties of drinks or opt for a hemp infused version. It’s just a really neat little business!!”

“Came for the first time on Sat. Drove 45 min to try this place out and we were not disappointed. It was VERY busy but all the workers worked quick and efficiently. We ordered a deep dish with low expectations (as the further from Chicago we get the pizza usually isn’t as good in our opinion) but we were very pleasantly surprised with everything about our pizza. The dough was delicious and cooked perfectly, fresh mushrooms, huge chunks of sausage and a perfectly balanced sweet sauce. The garlic rolls were a nice touch and SO good! We will most definitely be back!”

“Went for dinner on a Friday in the early evening, between 5pm and 6pm. Plenty of seating available. I'm not a fan of Chinese buffets as the food is usually old, cold, stale, and the meat selections are usually dried out. However, at Royal Buffet , all the food was hot , fresh , and brought it in a limited amount , therefore the food was continously hot , and fresh. The foods flavors were all delicious , especially the honey chicken , Mongolian beef , lo mein , egg rolls , all in all a great , hot , fresh meal at a great price. Will definitely be returning.”
