I had the strip and it was cooked exactly to my specifications. My husband had the meatloaf. The flavors were on point! Definitely will be back.“

One of the most under-rated things is just how amazing the jukebox is. 4 plays for a dollar but the really special thing is how well curated the selection is. “Stopped in last evening for a quick bite to eat and our waitress took us to our table ...who's name was Caitlyn... (possibly a K not sure). But we had the BEST customer service that I have had in as long time. She was so Sweet and checked on us continually. She also suggested when I wanted a wrap...that I didnt have to have it with Buffalo sauce could get it just plain with ranch. When she bought the food she said, "Would you like an extra side of ranch". I thought that was so kind. Then when she bought boxes to the table for our left overs she bought a lid for my ranch and a sack to Carry our containers in...ALL without me asking. I asked for the manager to come to the table for her to be recognized for her impeccable customer service!! He said, " He appreciated me bringing that to his attention". I made sure she got an excellent tip for her Kind , caring and quality customer service. BUT I ALSO THINK SHE DESERVES A 5 STAR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating here as well. Most of the time these days you dont get that kind of customer service...so when you do it needs to be reconized!! Thank you again Caitlyn on a job well done!!“

“Came in on a Friday night with a couple friends and the place had a nice, laid back vibe. It wasn’t too loud, which I appreciated since we actually wanted to talk. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was pretty solid, juicy and cooked how I asked. The wings were decent too, good flavor but not crazy spicy. Service took a little while when it got busy, but our server kept checking in and was friendly the whole time. Prices felt fair for what you get. Overall, it’s a reliable neighborhood bar & grill and I’d go back again.“

“We were there the first week they opened back in the 70's. The owners treated us like family. We drank, ate, then drank some more. Last call was usually too soon. We listened to Peggy Lee on the jukebox. That's when we were young. As we got older, we were less attentive and eventually drifted away. Jimmie, Luba, Tom and Bill. I miss them!“

“This weekend I had a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned that I can’t stop thinking about because it was so delicious. The flavor was balanced and the ingredients went together well for an old fashioned with a twist. A group came up to the bar farther down and was served before the rest of us in line so I waited quite a bit for my order to be taken. That’s bound to happen with such a large bar but worth the wait!“

“We had my son’s 7th birthday party here! They are easy to communicate with and they have wonderful customer service. The arcade is extremely clean! As of right now — 8/3/25 for the birthday packages each child gets a $10 playing card. I added $10 of my own, so each child got $20. I still didn’t know if that would make it enough for 2 hours. They are thinking of making it 1 hour of unlimited play (minus the claw machines.) I also brought Minecraft bingo to do at the table until everyone arrived, so they started the arcade games at the same time. Overall, being new to birthday parties, they are trying their best and are happy to hear thoughts. I also understand they have to make money to survive! They gave my son a prize that was more than the credits he had and I thought that was very kind of them. Thanks for a great party Claw Crazy.“

“After decorating at Charlie’s Awesome Venue I decided to pop over to the other side get a bite to eat. I was torn between the two burgers they currently have on the menu. I went with the blue cheese with bacon jam. I am here to tell you this was the best burger I have ever had in my life! Our server was pretty great as well. “Been here a few times for lunch during the week. Food was good service was just okay from the female behind the bar. This is my type of place as dive bars are my favorite type of bar . People who complain about cleanliness are not TRUE dive bar goers. The owner was there both times and was super friendly and made sure my group was taken care of.“

“I've been a regular at State Bar for awhile, and for the most part, I've always enjoyed the atmosphere. But last night was a wake-up call. It was honestly bizarre. The owner's wife, instead of trusting her staff to handle things, was obsessively micromanaging every little detail. And then, when things started getting a little rowdy, instead of defusing the situation like a professional, she was actually heckling the drunk patrons, making it worse. It’s a shame because the staff normally handles the crowd well, but she was actively undermining them. This isn’t just unprofessional; it’s damaging to the vibe that the bar has worked so hard to build. I really hope the owners recognize this before it turns into a pattern, because with the right leadership, State Bar could still be a top-tier spot. Here’s hoping they get it together before it’s too late.“

“We are some what regulars at arena .love to sit on patio ,but the patio needs a good cleaning. A good hosing off every couple day's would be great. and to bad the patrons can't use the ash tray instead of patio floor.“

“I absolutely love this bar, it’s my favorite go to tiny hole in the wall. Last time I was there I was sitting by the front entrance and someone opened the door then proceeded to fire off an automatic air soft gun. “We enjoyed dinner at Cork & Cleaver for our anniversary. The salad bar is outstanding, with top quality ingredients—and even chilled salad plates! For appetizers, we ordered the cream of broccoli soup and the crab cakes. The soup was nothing special, but the crab cakes were excellent—definitely on our list to repeat! For entrees, my husband ordered the fish special on polenta and I ordered the 21 shrimp platter with 3 flavors of shrimp and the stuffed mushrooms. Dessert was chocolate cake. During previous visits, we have also enjoyed the generous serving of the chocolate mud pie! The service was excellent. Be sure to get reservations if you want to get a table, especially on a weekend!“

“Came here for my first time last Friday to meet a friend for lunch. While waiting for my friend the other people there were extremely friendly and the bartender was very nice and did an awesome job at serving the customers. The cook hit it out of the ballpark with the breakfast burrito I ordered. Very delicious food and great atmosphere! I’d definitely come back here! 10/10 recommend!!“
