Restaurant review I would like to preface my review to say I have never been to Cuba so I can't compare the sandwiches to the most authentic experience. I had been itching to try these sandwiches for a while as it is a unique ethnic restaurant located in a town with limited ethnic food choices. We found parking at a local garage although we likely could have found a street parking spot as well. The restaurant itself was large and had a bar area as well. For the deluxe sandwiches, 14 dollars is quite steep for lunch, but the portions are large. I can't say that I was super impressed by the flavoring of the Cubano sandwich, but again I don't have anything to compare it to. I also had a side of the yucca which were tasty and felt healthier than simple fries. They were nice enough to split a sandwich for the kids, but that also came with a plate splitting fee as well, however I felt they did get a little more side of fries than if we just ordered one. It's a unique experience and I will let you decide if you like it.

Love the tropic Cuban and the mofongitos! We always come back for more after we’ve gone. Highly recommended for date night or a dinner party. I had my birthday dinner here in January and it was wonderful!
Caliente has evolved a lot over the past couple years. One thing that is consistent however , is the awesome food. Priced well and worth the money. Anytime I'm working in downtown fort Wayne , I make it a point to stop in for lunch at least once a week!

I just ordered from here for the first time. I ordered the Jardin and it is supposed to have Jackfruit on it. Let me tell you not a bit of Jackfruit was on the sandwich. Its very disappointing to see vegan and vegetarian options being offered, and them not delivering on what they state you will get to eat. Its too expensive to not deliver on what is on the menu. I will be encouraging my co-workers and anyone I see in the PNC building to NEVER EAT THERE!
