Don Rojo Mexican Restaurant

There was maybe two other tables when we came and the service was slow for the amount of tables they had. Very pricey for what you are getting, we saw that they were offering aquachilles for $17 ?!?! We asked the server and apparently you get 8 pieces of shrimp which is ridiculous. When we did get our food, everything was so salty. This was very disappointing since it was my mom’s birthday dinner.

First time visiting tonight. The service was impeccable. The bathrooms were pristine. The food was the absolute star of the evening. Every morsel was delicious and making you crave another bite. Very generous servings! Overall, best price for the experience.

the food I had was very basic and bland

Our first time at this very unique Mexican seafood restaurant. I love this also which is very unique as it has chunks of tilapia in it. The signature drink has also very unique. It's like a bloody Mary with a beer upside down in it with four shrimp two oysters and cucumbers slices around it. It's a little bit spicy but interesting. All the food choices were different than most Mexican restaurants so you won't be disappointed. I thought the food was good. Don't expect the same old thing.

Great place even if you're not a fan of seafood like myself. Food was great, service was decent, but it was a little pricey. Understandable with the seafood, but even like a dinner 6 shrimp was $22. Girlfriend said the pico with the fish that they serve when you're seated was great and the fish she ordered was delicious as well.My only negative comment is that our waiter couldn't explain some of the things on the menu in English. He was still nice though. I also wished they served regular salsa or pico when you're first seated for those of us that don't like seafood.

Not Chips and Salsa. Ceviche, Gratis! The michelada is delicious, topped with shrimp and cucumber is like a whole appetizer.. party of 4 everyone loved the meal. Great prices, wonderful staff

My wife and I never ate food prepared or presented this way but it was fabulous. Exceptional quality food ingredients. Fully staffed restaurant. Delicious seafood items that blew us away. Can't lose here. Nice beers and wine. We will positively be back.

Amazing food and awesome, friendly service. The presentation of the food was spectacular! Sophisticated atmosphere. I highly recommend if you love seafood and tacos.

Rolled up for the first time last night. The ceviche was fantastic, and was the highlight of the night. I ordered the quesadilla, and it was solid. Not a fan of the cucumber in it, but they packed in the shrimp, and the taste otherwise was fantastic. My fiancée got the fish dinner, and although she wasn’t a fan, I enjoyed it. The bacon cheese sauce is an absolute must have. That being said, it’s only 4 stars because my fiancée did get an upset stomach, and the servers were a little slow, but they were nice. Not sure how good of English our server spoke, as others came to help her. Definitely will be ordering again however.

Fiancée and I decided to try Don Rojos tonight. The atmosphere was lacking, we were seated right inside the door so we were subjected to blast of cold air whenever anyone entered or exited. I asked if scallops could be substituted for the mussels in my dish and was told no. This is the only restaurant I’ve eaten at that wouldn’t allow substitutions. When our orders arrived, the food was Luke warm, and our server was preoccupied with her cell phone, and only brought me one refill and only because I asked

It was great food!!! Service was good . The waitress was a little shy but very good. For being open not long ago it was a good experience. Food came out real quick , hot and delicious
