Review: Hall’s Prime Rib – Fort Wayne, IN
⭐️⭐️½ out of 3 (Ava’s Michelin-style rating)
After two visits—one in the chill of February and another in the warmth of September 2025—Hall’s Prime Rib continues to impress with its inviting atmosphere and old-school charm. The ambiance alone earns high marks: cozy, familiar, and quietly elegant, it’s the kind of place that feels like a local institution without trying too hard.

A great place to have a nice relaxing meal, the food is always delicious, plus the servers are very friendly and attentive. And there’s always great 70s music playing.
always been one of the best restaurants in town for home cooked comfort food at reasonable prices and good portions. Employees all work together to create a fine dining experience and the manager Ed Kellogg has always been the best on the planet!!

Hall's Prime Rib on State Street is known for its delicious prime rib and filet. The setting might feel dated, but the food consistently surpasses expectations. Diners can enjoy Aji tuna and bacon-wrapped chicken liver appetizers, a fresh wedge salad, and tasty French onion soup. The excellent meat dishes stand out as highlights. For dessert, the German chocolate cake is a must-try. Guests can also order carryout of their juicy prime rib seared on the grill with all the fixings. The restaurant is a quaint spot with great food and service, reminiscent of old-school diners. Many reviews commend the friendly staff, inviting clientele, and reasonable prices. Breakfast is served all day, and portions are generous. Hall's has been a beloved local restaurant for many years, and its charm continues to attract visitors.
