The atmosphere truly is delightful. I dined with a group of 12 or more. Our food arrived timely. I had quiche. The portion was smallish. I also had chocolate peanut butter pie, which was a little too rich for me. It was a beautiful day with good friends, so no real complaints or issues.

It is so nice to sit down at a restaurant and be able to find a large selection of food options that are healthy. Not only was my lunch healthy but it was also delicious. Service was excellent and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Wonderful place to eat.

We met a friend there and spent 2 hours talking and laughing. Food and service was great. The jalapeño cheeseburger soup was delicious.

My daughter went there to get sweets. She chose a piece of peach cream pie for me. It was delicious. She chose a piece of coconut cheesecake with almonds. She liked it.

Pickles Café – Columbia City, IN

Stopped in for breakfast on a road trip and this place surprised me in the best way.

Pickles Café is a cozy, family-owned spot with real charm — colorful walls, vintage art, mismatched chairs, and a hand-written chalkboard menu that feels straight from someone’s home kitchen. It’s got personality, heart, and zero pretense.

I ordered the Greek veggie wrap — portabella mushrooms, hummus, crisp greens — served with a side of fresh melon and pineapple that hit just right. Light, clean, and satisfying. The menu’s full of classics like omelets, French toast, grilled cheese, salads, and wraps, with plenty for both meat-eaters and vegetarians.

Service was warm, unforced, and real. My server had a peaceful energy and a tattoo of the Seven Sisters constellation — Pleiades. That small detail struck me. It felt like a quiet confirmation I was where I needed to be.

Didn’t get dessert this time, but they’re homemade and looked like the kind of thing you come back for.

If you’re passing through Columbia City and want something real — not fast food, not fake hospitality — just good food, good people, and maybe a little quiet magic if you're paying attention… stop here.

Great local lunch spot!! The sandwiches were flavorful and fresh. The pick 3 option offers a variety of food combinations so you can try everything. The vibe and atmosphere of this place is chill and upbeat. Unique and eclectic decor. 100 recommend!!

Waitress there named Abby will charge you to split a plate but won't tell you about the charge part, and the 7$ pie slice was burned black on the bottom.
