The server was very conscientious and thoughtful regarding food allergies. The portions were large, and presentation impressive. Not a fan of the large carrots in the salad, but have seen comparable Asian food resteraunts do that as well. It's awkward to eat.
It was ages between visits to Umi and I think I remember why. The pricing here is up there so just be aware of that. $19 for the Dynamite Shrimp appetizer. It's great but that's expensive in my book. $22 for the 1/2 Dr Singh roll. I remember liking this one a lot with the place first opened but I wasn't impressed this time. I'll need to go a couple more times to see if I find something amazing.
I recently went to Umi for my sister's birthday, and it was a pretty good experience overall. Our server was super nice and quick, which made the night enjoyable.
We did run into a couple of issues, though. The area we sat in was pretty cold, and it took almost 25 minutes for our appetizers to come out. We tried a bunch of different dishes, and while the portions were huge, the flavors were hit or miss—some were really spicy, while others didn't...
