I'm leaving a 5 star review just for the internet speed & availability of service . The name fits , AND ITS family operated I do support family and smaller businesses Compared to other ISP , out there "", it's been my experience of being ripped off in the past "", No other ISP offers the service you will get through.

FAST? LANE ?

I don't remember leaving a 3 star review before. I am very pleased with the service. The internet connection is usually good and when there is a problem it is resolved quickly. Mike, Jeff, and MJ has always been helpful and knowledgeable.

I have been complaining about my internet being slow and never hit the 50 Mbps plan. It hits only the 6 or 8 Mbps max. They agreed that they had problems with their equipment.I left several messages about being fair to pay for what I don’t have. I placed a ticket saying that I didn’t have internet for the whole month to work well for my job. I work with Media Production uploading and downloading videos. 8Mbps means NO INTERNET for this kind of business. The owner of the company Michael Stimson (Fast Lane Internet) called me with a very unprofessional cold call, unpolite, and disrespectful saying that he will cut my internet with no further notice and hang off the phone. I called him back, and he cussed me. Also, he said ‘I AM THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS, and I can disconnect whoever I want ANY TIME I WANT...Be careful where you put your foot on. They can leave you purposely in the dark. Not a Reliable company.Bad character ownership.

We really like this internet company. We usually have very prompt service from them and if they cannot fix an outage immediately we are given an explanation. They have been our internet provider for several years now and we would greatly recommend them.

I am writing this at 1:40AM on 7/30/21, at around 5:00PM or so on 7/29/21 our internet service went out during a storm. Shorty after the storm started it let up (within roughly 10-20 minutes), this storm was only pouring rain. After almost an hour of the internet being off and resetting our router 3 times I called the service desk. I was told they would get an engineer to contact shortly (and when I asked how long they thought it would be they said it should only be a few minutes) 30-45 minutes later our internet was still off and I did not receive a call from an engineer or anyone from FastLane.I called back around roughly 5:45PM and repeated again that our internet was out and I had no call from an engineer. The employee I spoke with said he would escalate my ticket again and try to poke the engineer(s) some more to contact me. 30 minutes pass yet again and I still had no call, at this point I was getting very frustrated (long story short we have a bad history with them not calling us and we always have to call day after day and hope a technician is in the office we can speak to).I told the employee I spoke with that I was planning to call every 30 minutes until an engineer called me because of our history of them not contacting us when we have problems. And he was completely okay with it and actually encouraged it. I called every 30-45 minutes for the next 4 and a half (4.5) hours. Our exchanges consisted of "hi its me again" "I will log that you called again and try to poke them some more".My final call to FastLane was at 10:05PM and at this point the employee I was exchanging calls with must've gone off the clock because I got a new employee. I explained to him what has been happening and that I planned to keep calling until I went to bed. He seemed confused at first but then eventually seemed to dismiss it.At 10:49PM I finally received a call FROM FastLane's number. Whoever I spoke with did not identify themselves (after calling their office one last time I explained what happened and they said it was probably Mike, so from here I will use Mike's name) here is how the conversation went (as closely as I can word it since I wasn't able to record it)Mike: Is this Kaleb ReynoldsMe: YesMike: Are you the one thats been calling every thirty minutes?Me: Yeah that was meMike: (this is where I can't remember everything he said but the main points of what he said are as follows) "we are going to be canceling your service at the end of the month", "you're harassing us"He did not give me a chance to speak no matter how much I tried. In my eyes I do not believe I harassed anyone, the employee I talked to all day was perfectly fine and even encouraged me to continue calling to show just how frustrated I am with the service we have been being provided. I was never nasty or rude to any of the employees I spoke with and I said many times I'm not angry with them, that I was angry with the technicians and engineers for not contacting me over the past several months on many occasions.(If a review can be edited I will edit this with more information from my computer once I have internet service again, and if it can't I will leave another review with all of the information I have on my computer)

So for the record, I'm not the end customer, just somebody that works with the same equipment used in their system. I was at a relative's friend's home when I noticed a dish on their roof and I had asked who their ISP is and they had said FastLane (aka Hoosier Internet). When we had made it inside, I saw their power supply for the antenna which is called a POE Injector as the power for the dish is piped over the data line. The yellow cable goes to the router and the black to the dish. The antenna was wired with grounded wire as the antenna is at a chance of being struck by lightning. They did use a grounded connector, but none of this is necessary as they did not install a Ground Surge Protector which drains the voltage if struck. The connector is rusted which could lead to corrosion in the POE Injector. The beginning of the black cable should be inside the connector which is obviously not. That is it prevent the individual cable from being pulled from the connector. The cable from the antenna just has a hole in the floor that comes from the basement. No effort was made to make the cable run to the power injector look good. A biscuit box or a wall mounted injector should have been there. Overall a very bad installation. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the service is decent considering the tower is about 6 miles away. Not to mention the antenna installed is super OP and a much cheaper antenna could have been used and still be in range.
