This. Place. Is. FANTASTIC. If you cannot eat gluten, you will think you've died and gone to heaven. I had an iced shaken oat milk espresso, the Cuban, and the vegan chocolate muffin.

Definitely was most impressed with the muffin. It was unbelievably moist (how did they do that without eggs???? Must be magic.) and the texture was indistinguishable from a regular muffin. Most GF baked goods have a distinct, grainy texture but this muffin was fluffy, dreamy,...

We enjoyed our time at the 1823 Bakehouse. Some backgroundmusic would have made the experience better. The treats were absolutely delicious. Coffee was good in flavor but not crafted too well. Drinks to enjoy right there, served in a papercup is also a little bummer. Still nice tho :)

If you or someone in your family is gluten free 1823 Backhouse is a must! The food is amazing even if you do not have gluten restrictions. The people are super friendly and helpful! This is going to become a regular visiting place for us! Oh and the coffee selection is amazing!
