5 stars because it’s just what we wanted a Midwest lakeside dive bar to be. Lots of tables outside on this beautiful day. Brand new nice tables and umbrellas. Or we could have chosen inside cool dark bar. My fish sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. Meaty pieces of pollock and a light breading. The guys said their breaded tenderloin was great. Fried were just ok, not worth the calories. Good bar selection. Servers were super busy and things didn’t run fast but they stayed good natured. A fun stop.

So we cam during the holiday so it was kinda dead. Everything was very laid back. Food was good. I got the fried fish tacos. It is kinda make your own style. My brother-in-law got the blacken tacos. He did not complain. The service was ok. The view of the lake was nice. Oh and I got an old fashion. It was good.

The Lake Shack in Fremont was a fun 21-and-older spot for a casual meal and drinks. The place had a relaxed lake-area vibe, and it worked well for hanging out without feeling too formal. The menu had easy bar-and-grill options, the food came out hot, and the prices felt fair for the portions. I liked that they offer both dine-in and takeaway, which makes it convenient depending on the day. Overall, it was a solid place for drinks, casual food, and a laid-back evening near the lake.

Their “Dirty Girl Fries” are one of the best shared starters I ever have enjoyed.
Fries
Alfredo sauce
Parmesan
Fried chicken pieces.
Enjoyed from their cocktail menu one Paloma and one Painkiller.
Apologies for not asking the name of our server. She and the entire staff were earnest and amiable.

When we drive from Pennsylvania to Denver this is our regular first night’s dinner spot. It’s close to our hotel off I80/90, the staff and other diners are friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious and decent beer on tap. This trip I had the Reuben and a cup of potato ham soup. It was delicious, hot and more filling than i anticipated! 😂. It’s worth the stop even if you’re passing through.
