Food was awesome and JJ did a good job! Only disappointment was we came 30 min early to hit the bar and it was closed as the bartender called off. We had to go to another area and find a drink while we waited. Other than that all was high quality

As an Indiana native, none of us knew this until we were told last night at our birthday dinner celebration. Tomato juice was first served as a beverage in 1917 by Louis Perrin at the French Lick Springs Hotel in southern Indiana, when he ran out of orange juice and needed a quick substitute. They served this in a shot glass, right after we were seated. It was delicious. They bloody mary drink one of us had, was made with this juice. Absolutely the best. Their chocolate martini was also delectable. We all ordered different prime cuts of beef, seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. The best steak we have ever tasted. Compliments to the chef for everything. The chocolate covered strawberries were huge and so sweet and very tasty. Every single staff member was over the top, incredibly hard working individuals!! Thank you all for a fantastic birthday celebration. The atmosphere was perfect. Not too formal attire, and not too casual. That made this place special. We will definitely return on a more regular basis. Thanks again to everyone at 1875 for making our night the best Parking: Valet for sure. Much easier for everyone in our group..Wheelchair accessibility: You will enter on the left side of the main entrance of the French Lick hotel and take the elevator up to the 1st floor. The restaurant is through the beautiful hotel lobby on the right. You'll go straight through the double doors and the restaurant 1875 is on your right.

Food was wonderful and really enjoyed the live music. Had the pleasure of interacting with Alecia, Shelli and Heather who were all were all fantastic.Personally loved watching Alecia interact with the tables around us. She is such an engaged and service focused manager. It’s so refreshing to see and anyone would be lucky to have her. Cherish her.

Impeccable service. From the time we arrived until the time we left we were treated like royalty. Food was amazing. It's definitely an “experience” dining at 1875 Steakhouse. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Side dishes come family style and easily fed six adults. The corn Ragu is a must. Diver scallops were a special. They were well seared and seasoned. Ended the night with chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our friends retirement. Thank you to all of the staff at 1875. You made our visit a memorable one.

Unfortunately, this was not our best experience. They may have been short staffed as our service was very slow. They apologized and were very kind about it, but it put a damper on the evening.

Fantastic food and service!! 1875 made my Dad's 84 years old Birthday an experience to remember!! We had a wonderful time. Drinks were wonderful and the BING CHERRY flames at the end of the meal were off the hook.

Food was good. We had the colossal shrimp, wagyu meatballs and the chorizo and potato soup from the appetizer menu and those are all excellent. We both ordered the Kansas City Strip special for our entree. Mine was overcooked and had to be remade but other than that the entrees were also good. The disappointing part of our meal was the overall service and experience. We frequent many fine dining restaurants and our experience did not stack up here. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and noted that on our reservation, which wasn't even acknowledged. A manager didn't come by the table to ensure everything was good even after having to send a steak back that was well over. We were not even offered dessert! Other tables had a dessert cart come by that they could select but we didn't even get offered any, just presented with our check after we boxed our left-overs. We spent about $300 for a fine dining experience and while the food was good they miss the experience part by a long shot.

1875 has the absolute best Filet Mignon anywhere! Service is very professional; they are clasy and attentive while also being warm and friendly. I just wish all the patrons would dress in a manner befitting fine dining.

We stopped in with another couple to the 1875 The Steakhouse at French Lick Resort Hotel, on 01/25/2023. The Ambiance was delightful, the service from both wait staff that served our table (Kristine Lead) was absolutely attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The wine selected for our table was a McManus Cabernet Sauvignon, that was an excellent addition to the meal. Two at our table enjoyed the Half Rack of Lamb - that was prepared to perfection and were scrumptious and plentiful. The other two people ordered steaks (14 ounce RibEye and 8 ounce Filet Mignon) which were an absolute delight to the senses. Having been to the 1875 The Steakhouse previously, we tempered our appetizers, and sides to leave plenty of room for dessert, although, one of our guests enjoyed the Lobster Bisque and a Caesar Salad that were both described as exceptional. The Surprise dish of the evening was the Corn Ragout, which our guest enjoyed so much he asked if he could visit the Chef and ask how the dish was prepared. He was delighted to be assisted back to the kitchen where he had a wonderful experience hearing the efforts that went to prepare his delicious side dish. The Meal ended with a tableside flaming dessert. We all watched as Kristine masterfully prepared tableside two exquisite fiery desserts of Cherries Jubilee and Bananas Foster! Our accurately prepared bill, given our meal, was an absolute value. We all felt pampered, our guests loved the extra attention, and the food was above and beyond! The 1875: The Steakhouse is more than a gourmet restaurant, it's a true gourmet dining experience that your party would truly enjoy and remember as a once in a lifetime occasion.

The filet mignon and scallops were both absolutely amazing! Mimi was our server and made our experience extra special. Tom, the GM, stopped by our table and we had a great visit, as well. Beyond great food, it's simply a wonderful dining experience.

Steaks cooked perfectly. Staff was very accommodating on special requests (2 picky eaters). Sat near the piano player so it was noisy but I think other tables would have been ok. Lobster Mac n cheese wasn't as good as before but everything else was great.

Sirloin was quite charred and med to med-well. Asked for med-rare. Asparagus was mushy. Personal preference is slightly crispy. Service and ambiance was impeccable. I never return food. I'm sure they would have corrected, but shouldn't have to do so...
