This is the 2nd time we’ve been to The German Cafe. Each time I’ve been so impressed with the food! In top of that, the employees are awesome! If you want a true taste of freshly made German food you gotta try it!

They were out of half the items on the menu I tried ordering. Seemed understaffed even though there were only about five tables occupied. Pretzel didn't even come with the salt or cheese.

Took a sunny Saturday drive from Owensboro Ky. Found this place decided to grab lunch. Yum. We got order pretzel sticks to start. Hot and tasty especially w beer cheese dip. I had the Jager Schnitzel with sauerkraut and German potato salad. My mom had speatzle with sausage dish. No room for desert unfortunately. Another time.Wheelchair accessibility: Inside is tight. My mom has walker was able to negotiate fine.

They even offered coloring books and crayons and stuff to entertain the kids while we wait ?

Love this place! Best German food ever!! We have been several times. There are so many unique decorations to look at and most importantly, all the food we have had has been amazing. Recommend the Grosse Platter. It gives you a generous sampling of many delicious German dishes. Food is fresh and cooked to order. Servers are always willing to educate you on the food choices. Wonderful beer selection and delicious desserts.

Celebrating our anniversary week and this place was a fantastic choice! We love German food and had to get the Grosse Platter after the giant pretzel!Super relaxing eating our food and the waitress (I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but shimmery purple dress) was just the right amount of attentive. We ate wildly too much and still took home food for tomorrow ?

A hidden gem. Classy and romantic interior, including separate spaces for groups. Authentic great tasting food. I highly recommend it for anything from meals to special events for small groups.

Only thing I got to say I'd that just don't apply for a job here. Over personal problems I had them not pay me a full week and was told quit calling asking about my check or they was going to get me for harrasement and my check had been sent out. And they stated it's not there responsibility anymore or I got paid or not. Then I had like 20 some hours they owed me for when I received my check it was for 8 hrs and $3.00 less an hour on what I was getting paid. But I'm just waiting for my w-2 now but either mine won't show up or they will say we sent it out. Or it won't send them till the last date they come but there either going to have to put on my taxes I worked the week I haven't been paid and the other half week if so they are saying they paid me well bring your bank statements to court where I cashed the check If not just showing your admitting I didn't get paid and you were just holding my check for personal problems which gives me proof that they caused pain and suffering which means they will have to pay me extra interest on that money. The bad thing is I know of 3 other people they have did this to held there checks. And I've kept all messages they sent so that goes in my favor
