Shorty's became a regular destination after we recently moved to the area. Tonight, however, I was very disappointed to find that one of my favorite entrees, Grilled Chopped Steak had been taken off the menu. I can only assume that I was one of the few diners who ordered it. We most likely will continue to dine at Shorty's so please don't also remove the Peanut Butter Pie!

Have heard about Shorty's for some time now and finally decided to try it. It's about a 30 minute drive from Sylvan Lake but well worth it. Food and Service were outstanding last night and the music couldn't have been better (classic rock). Wife and son both had the Filet Mignon cooked medium rare with Brussels. I had the Surf and Turf with the Ribeye. My son wanted to try the Lobster tail and was blown away with its taste. We were all very satisfied with our selections and will for sure make a return visit. Thanks for an outstanding meal and visit, who knew Garrett, IN had so much to offer for a small town!

Have been a longtime customer of this establishment and have always loved the food. Unfortunately since they came under new ownership and changed food distributors, the food is no longer worth the price. The quality isn’t there anymore. They used to be my favorite steakhouse until my last steak tasted old and was grainy as if it had been frozen. They did attempt to fix it and it still came back the same. Our waitress was amazing as usual which makes it difficult to no longer want to be a customer.

Katherine was our server. She noticed right off something wasn't right with my shrimp and grits. The andouille sausage was cooked to the point of being rocks. Literally. Shrimp and grits were absolutely perfect. Extremely intuitive server. Management made things right. We'll be back. 💛

A wonderful local establishment. The decor was simple yet elegant. Booths, low-tops and high-tops await your choice. Service was excellent. Our server was so friendly. She smiled and joked with us. She provided great advice and quick service. Monday night martini specials were great. All three different seafood appetizers incredible and our streak entrees were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.
We visit Shorty's from Michigan whenever we are in the area (Ft. Wayne, Auburn) because of the exceptional food and service.

We spent our 33 wedding anniversary at Shorty's last night with our kids, their spouses and two babies, and as always, it was wonderful! Our server, Kelly, was attentive, knowledgable, and great! The food was so good! We had two granddaughters with us who are 7 months old, and we didn't feel like we had to keep them quiet, the room was loud enough that they blended right in. We had a visit to the table by the owner who genuinely seems to care about Shorty's and the people who frequent it. It was a wonderful evening, and we were also given a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary!

We were going to Garrett, IN, for an event at the art museum and decided to have an early dinner first. We chose Shortys Steakhouse and made reservations. Upon entering, we asked for a high top table. The hostess sat us next to the counter where the food came out. We moved to the bar. We ordered Ahi Tuna and the Almond Crusted Haddock as our entrees. My wife's Ahi Tuna was overcooked and tough. The Haddock was fine. The sides of brussel ssprouts and 3 cheese hash were ok. Nothing stood out. The tuna was replaced with a better prepared serving. It was not busy at the time we dined and the employees were busy talking to each other. It took some effort to get their attention for soy sauce and replacement Tuna. Shortys is a restaurant where you expect a good meal and service. It was not the case this time.
