We been going Big Daddy's for years, sometimes it's a hit , this time it was not, the rib tips was tough and the fries was terrible .and what happened to the pineapple barbecue sauce? The problem is not big daddy him self, it's the COOKS.

I drove from Chicago to try this restaurant because my favorite Chicago bbq spot was closed for the weekend. This place was recommended to me by a friend. The rib tips tasted perfectly fine, not Chicago style but good enough. The problem is that I was sick in less than two hours after eating them. I hadn't eaten anything else all day, so it had to be the rib tips that gave me food poisoning.
Two stars instead of 0 stars because I ordered the catfish fillets for my mom, and she liked them (and didn't get sick).

I used to have my man come here every weekend. I’m not sure what changed but the food is often too salty. So bad that its basically no flavor other then saltiness. I’m not sure if they are over seasoning or what. To make it worse it also looks like they raised their prices when the quality has gone down. It wasn’t always this way. I loved eating here. Other than that it’s a very friendly and welcoming environment. Hopefully they get whoever off the meal prepping and grill because they putting high blood pressure in the food.

First time eating Big Daddy's. Brisket sandwich was delicious and the blues bbq sauce was excellent, fried catfish cooked perfectly, fries good, fried okra was okay. All around food was delicious, great portions! Thanks Big Daddy's, keep it up!

2 nd time Ive oder and ask for hot bbq they gave me sweet and won't fixed but give me a cup of hot this is bad service I ask her the second I wanted hot the recipe said mild she just gave me a cup and said I don't know what they gave you this isn't professional at all

Just left Big Daddy's BBQ for the first time in around 3 years since I first moved back to Gary, and the rib tips are still delicious just like I remember. I ordered a large rib tip meal with sauce on the side like I always used to and the rib tips were so tender. This has been my favorite barbecue location in the area for way over a decade ever since all of the Kenny's Chicken and Rib locations closed down.
