Found out about this place recently, I'm glad I did, I'm Dominican and proud of our Caribbean flavors. I have a group of 6 adults, 1. it's was weird order one by one in front of the counter if felt more like I was on McDonald's ordering 2. The empanadas was on the menu but they didn't have. 3. The staff don't speak Spanish if you think you gonna go there klok ya tu sabe Como e la vaina. To the owners ! This is my honest ans sincere review, don't have the intention of disrespect or throw hate, that's not who we are. With all my respect. I can't wait to go back and get my empanadas.

Super super good! We passed through Gary to head to the Dunes and this place did NOT disappoint. I got the Dominican Chicken dinner and the chicken was so so flavorful and warm. My mother got the Jerk Chicken Bowl with plantains and it was amazing as well. They also have super sweet and savory cornbread. I would definitely recommend this place!
Honestly, I got Door Dash, so I can’t speak to the service & atmosphere , but with how this food is, both have to be just as amazing! I got the empanadas special - jerk chicken & cheese came with rice and beans Fire I’m telling you!! 💥💥 You can taste the love someone put into this chicken - the jerk sauce - holy Moses I’m in love ❣️🙌🏻 I’d give a thousand more starts if I could !! People, Gary Indiana is where the good food is at!!!! Come eat !!! Oh I forgot , I also got the rum cake It was hard to do, but I saved both an empanada & half the cake for lunch tomorrow , which will probably be a late night snack instead because I swear it’s all already calling me from the fridge ! That rum cake , it ain’t your gramma’s rum cake - mother of pearl I swear to you it’s a million times better ! ( sorry gramma)
