One word.....Lousy!
The chicken and steak was bland and tasteless. The older gentleman hearing and English wasn't the best, so my "two tacos" food order was kinda jack'd up.
Moreover, the food wasn't even basic good. It tasted like someone who's never seen, made, or tasted a taco created this mess. This place is a definite 'miss' on the food scene here in NW Indiana.
Do not waste ur time and $$ here.

This is a hidden gem. The food was excellent. The mariachi band was a pleasant surprise and created a whole vibe.
This was my go to spot since I was 15 I'm now 42. The food has changed . It's not as tasty. I don't like how they stack the tacos on top of each other causing the ones on the bottom to become soggy. The young man there in the front is very rude and unwelcoming. I won't be returning anymore.

Sign says done-in or carry out, you can only carry out. Definitely NOT authentic Mexican food! There was 2 big pieces of cartilage in my tacos. Only lettuce and pickled jalapeño and cheese, no cilantro or onion. Basically, white people tacos? menu said now selling corn in a cup(elote) but didn’t have any…my chicken tacos were DRENCHED in juice so by the time I got passed the 1st one, the other were sloppy and falling apart. Place looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but a lot of times those places have the best food…not this place. I’m finding it hard to understand the 4.2 stars?♀️ I wouldn’t even say 2 stars.

This Puerto Rican loves this little Mexican restaurant! I always order their pork hard-shelled tacos. ? ? Their rice and beans are delicious, as well! Customer Service is superb! My only complaint is that they are not available through DoorDash.I highly recommend El Ranchito! You won't be disappointed!
