My friends and I (3 people) decided to dine here despite what I read in the reviews. I wanted to support a Black Owned Business because I’m a business owner myself . Unfortunately the reviews were correct. Food lacked flavor, our waitress disappeared on us and we had additional gratuity charges on our bill (the waitress corrected it after we brought it to her attention). One of us had to walk to the counter to ask for the rest of our order. The atmosphere was great! We were greeted when we walked in the door by a very nice person. I normally try to see the benefit of the doubt when food service is in place but this seems to be the language of their business. Best of luck to you! I always want to see us win.

I’m just passing thru town and was looking for breakfast and this place popped up, I haven’t even got my food yet and I already love this place, very calm and smooth jazz playing and the way they have it decorated is so beautiful. I wish they had these in Dallas tx where I’m from I would go every chance I got. Wait staff were very sweet girls. Good just got here and it looks ssoooo good! They had me at grits!

This was my first visit to J’s Breakfast Club, and I came with my husband looking forward to a good breakfast experience. Unfortunately, it fell a bit short.
We were greeted and seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, the service became inconsistent after that. One waitress slid our drinks onto the table without saying a word, which felt a bit impersonal. Another waitress took our order and chose not to write anything down. While I appreciate confidence and efficiency, that approach doesn’t work for everyone—part of my order was forgotten.
I ordered the chicken biscuit, and it was disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and bland, and the biscuit was very hard—so much so that I had to separate the chicken and biscuit just to eat it. Even then, the lack of flavor made it difficult to finish the meal.
Overall, the experience was just okay. There’s potential here, but both the food quality and service consistency need improvement.

Tasty food, good vibes, but some waitresses should be more attentive to customer needs, I ordered orange juice and she gave me apple juice other than that overall great experience.
Had the fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, breakfast platter; all of it was homemade and fantastic. Probably the best fried green tomatoes I have ever had. Everyone was friendly. Just all around fantastic. My other half had the burger which looked amazing and had fresh waffle fries. These people know how to cook and treat other people. I’ll be back even though it’s 1000 miles from home.

Our family had an amazing meal here and can’t wait to go back again!! I had the grits with shrimp and catfish and a Bloody Mary, it was incredible. The service was phenomenal as well!

I’m not sure if we ordered at the wrong time or if it makes a difference dining in rather than delivery, but the food was very bland. The grits had no flavor at all more just a taste of cheese green onions and bacon. The rice and salmon croquettes were bland as well. The other concerning thing might have been the oil. The color on the Salmon and the chicken were very dark like the oil was old and needed to be replaced. We ordered a few things as I’ve been wanting to try them for a while and this was really disappointing. Especially since it is only 2 minutes from my house. Even the smothered potatoes were a little undercooked. This feedback is only to make you guys better. Thank you for serving the community but things need to change.
