I want to give them 5 stars but my reason is very simple. I'm a Chicagian and still live in IL. Of course Home of the Hoagy and Taurus are the places to go for a good sweet steak. So my expectations were high from the get go. I work out in Merrillville so I came across Nephews. Ordered the sweet steak, sweet and hot. The difference with Nephew is they use Gardiner peppers instead of jalapeños so it gives it a different taste. Now, with that being said it was good but not my cup of tea. Would I order it again, maybe. Now the 4 star review is because the young lady that took my order suggested I get the chicken wings and it was special day. Man, when I tell you that them dam chicken wings are 🔥. With the sweet sauce, OMG! I went back the next day for those chicken wings and then ordered some for my husband on my way home. Yeah, that good. 6 piece chicken wings, I may be addicted!

My sister's and I, along with friends travel from the city to Gary IN just to keep getting a taste of this delicious food. We call our order(s) in and they are ready when we arrive; even if we have to wait a few minutes, we are fine because the staff is so delightful.
The hoagy's are perfect, I always get the turkey hoagie 😋. The steaks are on point, both steak and chicken. The chicken wings are great as well, crisp and flavorful.

Price is different then advertised they passed up my order and served people who came in after me had me waiting the food was as horrible as the city itself self if you have no business in Gray stay away . Disgusting if you want to eat grease it was horrible.

Food was great! I have tried the honey barbecue wings and the steak Bowl. The french fries are fresh cut fries! And their sauce OMGoodness- if you like sweet barbecue sauce, then you will not be disappointed! I'm looking forward to trying the steak sandwich. Prices are decent and you get enough for your buck!

My boyfriend and I tried them for the first time today. We got the Turkey hoagy and their fries that they highly recommend. We were more than pleased with our food! They are definitely a spot we plan on going back too.
