Mondays the food taste the best, but every time I go on a Saturday afternoon it’s like they give u the left over ribs from Friday. I don’t know if they have a different cook on Saturdays or what but food is too expensive to get bad food. Rib tips hard and rubbery. I’m gonna have to find another rib spot or just cook at home. The food today was horrible 1/10

Food was good but a lil pricey. Service was trash though. The guys do more playing than they work. Sometimes you'll stand there for 5 minutes or more before someone acknowledge you there.....

They do not answer the phone and when you get to the location you are waiting 40-50 minutes just for a small order.

They have to do better with the customer service, some of the worst service I've seen in a long time and its everytime. Don't even greet you when you step up to place your order. Food takes forever to get done, they never have everything on the menu. They just have to do better, probably should start with the ladies they have working up front. If they don't want to be there than don't. That's a reflection on the owner, he/she has to do better. We be trying to support black businesses but places like this make it extremely hard and hard on other good black businesses. Please go somewhere else for your food or go and say I should.of listened to the review. Lbs

This was my 1st time going to Phenomenal Ribs, was not impressed! I Ribs were Very Hard, my wife and myself couldn't eat the ribs or hot links, I want to go back because the sauce was great! But, I will admit, I'm great at cooking ribs please try my ribs!

I don't know what happened to this place. They used to be the best bbq spot in town, my family has been faithful since day 1. I went in and placed an order for a LG pork tip and a reg jerk chicken tip (since they have discontinued the turkey tips) we wait about 30 minutes and go back in to pick up order, the young lady can't find our order because apparently the cook didn't get the ticket. Wait about another 10-15 minutes and they get my order together. Get home and they gave me a pork tip instead of chicken. Call the store and they tell me they are out of jerk and I can come tomorrow and get some jerk, I went back to the store to get a refund and the only explanation I got was that they are short staffed and that's why my order was messed up. So disappointed, and not the first time as of late.

Yesterday at 12:10 I placed a call in order specifying exactly how I wanted my food, the same way I always order but somehow they always get it wrong. Upon receiving my order after a long wait, I went to the car to eat my food and again it wasn’t prepared the way I asked. How hard is it to add mild sauce to the ribs and none on the fries? My mom's food was fine. I went back inside the establishment once again and specified how I wanted my order. I was told by the cook the ticket said… I stated we established the ticket was wrong so I reiterated how I wanted my meal to be prepared. After waiting for some time I went back to my car to open the container and it was wrong again, this time I asked for the owner of the manager. I explained once again to the same cook and I’m assuming this person who was standing alongside him was the manager because he’s there quite a bit. Brown skin, a beard, and a brown jacket were worn by the “manager” was wearing. I told him to make life simple, just give me a bowl of warm sauce and a side of fries with no sauce. The manager couldn’t comprehend that, after seeing that I wouldn’t get any time of resolution I stated, that’s ok. Upon leaving he yelled,” You come in here with all these demands. I shouted I’m trying to support a black business, the wait is long, my order is wrong and he yelled, “ F off”. I will never return to this place, I supported them when they were at their previous location. I spent $37 on my food. What type of establishment is this, employees yelling F off to their customers? I should have gone to Big Daddy’s like I started to do, again I try to support black businesses but I would never support this one again! Fed up with poor service, the phone continuously rings, or either we don’t have water excuse so we’re closed, although they were in the back barbecuing and I still tried to support them. Whoever owns this place needs to be present before your support is gone. I saw people get turned away three times because their food still wasn’t ready.

I just had the worst experience ever. I placed my order over the phone. The young lady who took my order had an attitude. Her attitude was heard through the phone. I went inside to pick up my food and she still had an attitude. I tried my best to plead with her that I was not trying to cause any problems. I will never spend another dollar at this place again. I am posting this review on all websites, feel free to delete. I am surprised others haven't complained about this young lady.

Order Food , Lady Told Me 20 Minutes, Got There Made Me Wait 30-45 More Minutes & They Only Accept Cash. Should Be Something That Is Told Before Someone Gets There.

Food is great; however, service is atrocious consistently. When orders are phoned in, it is known to add 45 minutes to the quoted expected ready time. My last experience cemented my decision to cancel future patronage of the establishment. My last order was phoned in at just after 5:00 pm. 45 minutes completion time was what I was told my order would be ready. I arrived at 6:15pm to pick up my order and was told, ' not enough food was prepared to complete my order and wait would and additional 60 wait time. Born and raised in Gary, I try to patronize businesses in Gary at every opportunity. I have drawn the line with Phenomenal Ribs.

The food is very good but they are super slow!!!! It's best to call in your order and if they say 20 minutes then don't leave home to pick up before 30 minutes or you'll be waiting.

Highly disappointed for the 4th time! Waiting for my order for over 3hrs with 3 different dashers, called to ask about my order, I was even lucky they answered and was told my order was ready and should be given to a dasher soon only for them to cancel the order 3hrs later. You shouldn't be on door dash if you can not handle orders and offer decent service. So unprofessional!!
