I am at an all time awe with this place. I am indeed a salad girl and they have me devouring this amazing shrimp and chicken salad. It’s so HUGE! It could last 3 days but not with me! lol 😂 but it tastes delicious from every bite and I also got the salmon and egg croissant sandwhich, it was 🔥! The service was impeccable. I pray they can find another location asap because it was my first time and I want more! Thank you and the prices are very reasonable!
I hate to give bad reviews but this time I actually wasted my money and I was totally embarrassed because I bragged about this place. I bought 2 Jerk Salmon dinners. I don’t mind paying 15 bucks for a salad but for a lromaine lettuce and 5 teaspoons of ground up salmon had me feeling some type of way. The Salmon was so ground up and skimpy until you couldn’t taste it. A large container of lettuce, a slice of onion, a slice of tomato and an egg cut in half…And then it dawned on me why I hadn’t been there in a while. I was on the list for them to give me a replacement salad the last time I was there. But they are very hospitable and give great customer service.
Ps. and 2 teaspoons of cheese.

Business must be going downhill. The owner literally chased me down & tried to harass and fight me because I bought food from the Mexican taco truck across the street. If me not buying a $7 wrap was enough to provoke the owner to chase me down (this is my first interaction with this place, mind you), this place won't prosper with the energy this owner is putting out.

We been looking to Eat in Gary for awhile, we came across the mecca building and found the food express cafe. Great little hidden food Gem in the heart of downtown Gary. Food here is Awesome, Delicious and Quick. Hood prices as well.
I stopped by Food Express Cafe in Chicago and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of their offerings. The menu boasts a diverse selection, from hearty sandwiches to flavorful rice dishes, all served promptly and with a smile. The staff was attentive, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. However, the seating area was a bit cramped, making it less ideal for larger groups or those seeking a leisurely meal. Despite this, the food's taste and affordability make it a spot worth revisiting

Bless this establishment the salad I had from there today was 100 out of 10 and it fed me and my partner the dressing was fye and the customer service was top tier they even let me try a new addition to the menu I think it was turkey chicken chili and safe to say that’s my next order when I go back
