The Electric Brew-Downtown Goshen

From an aesthetic and atmospheric standpoint, this coffee house succeeds in creating a space that feels both intentional and inviting. The interior leans heavily into a farm style aesthetic, but in a way that feels distinctly Midwestern almost like stepping into a well kept Indiana farmhouse living room rather than a commercial café. The décor, warmth, and layout contribute to an environment that encourages people to slow down, settle in, and genuinely enjoy the experience of having coffee rather than simply passing through.

I ordered a 24 ounce Leprechaun iced coffee, which was the clear highlight of the visit. The drink was rich, well balanced, and noticeably more flavorful than the average iced coffee found in most cafés. It tasted carefully prepared and demonstrated that coffee itself is clearly a priority here.

The one element that did not quite reach the same standard was the green velvet brownie I ordered alongside the drink. While visually appealing, the flavor and texture were less convincing. The consistency leaned somewhat artificial, and the taste unfortunately landed closer to something reminiscent of Play-Doh rather than a freshly baked dessert. It wasn’t inedible I did finish it but it suggests the pastry offerings may still have room for refinement.

Because of that contrast, I would give the experience four stars. The coffee is excellent and easily worth the visit on its own, but improving the pastries and baked goods would bring the overall experience more in line with the quality of the beverages.

The service also deserves recognition. The staff were professional, welcoming, and respectful throughout the visit. They did briefly mix up my name when calling my order, but it was handled in such a lighthearted way that it actually made the moment memorable rather than inconvenient.

Overall, this is a coffee house I would confidently recommend especially for anyone looking for a relaxed setting to enjoy a quality cup of coffee with friends or family. The atmosphere is charming, the coffee is strong, and with a bit more attention to the pastry program, the place could easily elevate from very good to exceptional.

I love this cozy little spot in Downtown Goshen. I remember going here as a kid and ordering a hot chocolate while my dad got a big coffee and something sweet for us to share. Always have a great time.

Delicious drinks and food. There are savory and sweet options. A very cozy comfortable coffee shop that's a Goshen classic. The longest standing Goshen coffee shop as it was established in 1996!
I don't recommend their matcha latte. It wasn't a fresh, barista quality matcha. More like culinary grade.

I really love coming here, the best place in downtown Goshen, I miss my barista she always gets my order right, super friendly everyone, Ester always makes me something new and delicious, my latte is always warm and you can feel the good vibes from her and her team! Really love coming here, super recommended, if I was local I would’ve a regular !!

Stopped in while visiting family. Nice vibe. Busy, but not terribly so. Great selection of coffee, treats and eats. I ordered a hot mocha. It was good and served up hot. Tried a chocolate chip cookie. Very good 👍. So many choices, not enough days in Goshen to try them all. But, I will try. 😀
