“Made a reservation 1 month ago for my sons 9th birthday. Even after making a reservation, we waited over an hour and a half to be seated. What was the point of making the reservation? Then, our show felt rushed and wasn’t as enjoyable as we’d hoped for.“

“My husband and I eat at the Chubby Trout pretty regularly and the staff have always been the best. Today, we took our son with us and were told we had a 30 minute wait. We sat out in the breezeway and my four year old noticed one of the hostesses was changing the sign. He said “I like your drawing!” She smiled and took the time to talk to him, even including him in letting him choose the colors to “help” with the sign. Sometimes it’s hard to keep your child entertained for more than a few minutes, but she went above and beyond to make him feel happy and welcomed. She could have walked away, she could have politely asked him to leave her alone, but she her kindness was more impactful with my son. We have always felt welcomed when interacting with the servers and hosts at The Chubby Trout (which is why we come back monthly). As we walked out after our delicious meal, she same hostess said “Hey new best friend! Thanks for helping me with my sign! It looks great.” My son was beaming and didn’t stop talking about it the whole way home. Tonight, we had the chubby trout meal , the prime rib, and the Sue Sue shrimp as an appetizer. All were fantastic! My son always gets the kids grilled cheese and somehow eats the entire thing (it’s huge and I hear you, “how can a grilled cheese be amazing?” But it is. My husband and I try to sneak bites of it. Maybe Cam needs to come up with an adult version. 😆). We love this place so much! Thanks for always making my family feel welcome. 🤗“

“My review goes beyond the welcoming and homey atmosphere, the wonderful staff, and the simply delicious authentic food ( perfectly prepared from scratch I might add). I took my Dolset bowls in with me hoping perhaps I might get some as to seasoning my bowls, ( I had done it incorrectly ). Not only did the owner literally take my bowls and season them for me, she also taught me how to best cook in them, and if all that kindness wasn't enough she gave me a lid as my bowls did not come with any.Ever time we go we learn more about etiquette customs and Korean food.The owner is always sweet enough to smile and correct me nicely when I use a Korean phrase incorrectly. They also have Korean BBQ tables which makes for a great evening out cooking and laughing with friends. I hope you try this restaurant, yummy food and wonderful people. Michele F“

“On my recent visit to Koto, I was met with a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. The evening began with a warm sake, which was absolutely delicious, a perfect start to the meal. Next came the lobster Rangoon, which I can confidently say was the best I've ever had. The crispy exterior and flavorful filling were nothing short of amazing. For the main course, I opted for the filet mignon hibachi, accompanied by fried rice, salad, and clear soup. I also had a side of noodles. The filet was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The fried rice and vegetables were equally impressive, each bite full of flavor. The noodles were a comforting addition, complementing the meal beautifully. Koto’s atmosphere strikes a unique balance between casual and elegant, making it a perfect spot for both special occasions and a relaxed evening out. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Although we chose to sit at a regular dinner table, I noticed they also offer hibachi tables for those seeking a more interactive dining experience. The food came out quickly, and I left thoroughly satisfied with my meal. Without a doubt, Koto has secured a place on my list of go-to restaurants. We will definitely be returning.“
