Amazing food they have amazing pies and the service is good I would recommend trying the strawberry pie

We decided to stop At a local restaurant on our way thru Greencastle. We walked in and this area was coffee and chocolates. The person working this area sat us on the restaurant area. I loved the look of the old red brick. They also had a huge metal clock on the wall. The waitress waited on us pretty quick and the food came out quick. My husband ordered the mushroom soup and didn't care for it he stated it tasted like onion soup. My huge tenderloin was very good. 2 people could have shared this. The homemade chips tasted great also. The did NOT taste like grease. Oh and is you order the strawberry dessert pizza share it. I really like the crust Will go back if in the area

Meatloaf was not hot. Taste was subpar.Mash potatoes were lukewarm .I will give this restaurant another visit. The service and atmosphere were excellent. I think this is a great restaurant and will evaluate further soon. A lot of potential to be an excellent restaurant. I will readjust my score after the next visit to reflect the food. I feel this is a 5 star restaurant and I got bad meatloaf.We shall see.

Agree with name...it was like home. Good quality food, cozy atmosphere. The Almost Home burger was good as was the soup of the day.
Looked cute from outside & we wanted a nonchain place to eat. Hubs ordered the meatloaf-it was dry dry dry! Super small scoop of mashed potatoes on top that was drizzled with bbq sauce & about 2 onion straws. Mixed vegetables was probably the highlight of his meal. Meatloaf was tasteless. I had the pork burger & fries. Nothing special. Best part of meal was the cheesecake for dessert. Good service, just not impressed with the meal

Good food, wonderful service. I'm not sure I'd take small children here but for teens and adults who can quietly sit and have a meal, this is a great place I happened upon when I found myself near the Greencastle Square looking for lunch.

This was my favorite restaurant for decades. Many celebrations were enjoyed at Almost Home. After today, I will never return. My scoop of chicken salad was served on ONE leaf of lettuce. I asked for a bowl of lettuce and the waitress brought me ONE more leaf. The fruit salad had turned and not eatable. The muffin was old and gummy. I just paid $13 for Almost nothing. Left and went somewhere else for food.

Nice atmosphere and great food. Desserts ate amazing so be sure to leave room for. Husband got the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Tenderloin was pounded fairly then but was good. I had the chicken and vegetables pasta. It was good and very light not heavy. Good use some more seasoning but still good. For dessert we had the strawberry pizza pie. It is amazing and not something you want to mias.
