I recently purchased some apple turnovers and the amount of apple was non existent. I will never waste my money again on purchasing pastries with no filling. You should be ashamed of calling yourself a bakery.

Had company from Minnesota coming for a visit.They requested Almira's Buter Cookies as they fondly remembered them as special childhood treats.These are not the same butter cookies they were - more like shortening cookies. Please go back to your original recipe and don't skimp on the sprinkles! The new recipe is a dry cookie with no buttery taste and scattered sprinkles. Next time I get a sub standard bakery product at $8.99 a pound you can bet I will be returning it and requesting my money back.

So my 3 year old loves unicorns and was very excited for he unicorn party and cake. I ordered my daughters cake a 2 weeks in advance to be done on 7/29/23. Since they are closed on Sundays 7/30/23. I always buy regular cakes at Almira's Bakery and decorate it my own way after But I was horrified and in complete shock when I opened the box to see that there was nothing I could fix on the cake. I absolutely did not want it. I ordered this cake a 2 weeks in advance to get this creature that looks like a peacock mixed with unicorn. My daughters birthday gathering is today and couldn't be more upset that I literally crieddddd they did horrible, this is beyond me! The cake looks absolutely NOTHING like how the cake was pictured. It's sloppy, looks rushed and the colors and on top of that, it's not even the right size and her name is spelled wrong!! They didn't even try to do it like the picture, didn't even care. The person who did this cake should be ashamed that this is the cake that a little girl would have to see for her birthday. And get this, I was still expected to pay for it. I have been going to this bakery for years and I've received awesome cakes, this time around...I've never been more disappointed. Staff was not helpful, even though they agree that whoever made the cake did horribly. I've emailed and I wrote them via Facebook messenger and was left on read. Exactly what I said, no care that I now have to find a cake such short notice because they couldn't simply do their job which is to decorate cakes and make people happy when they see them. MISSION FAILED

I have heard so many wonderful things about Almira's from friends and people at church and we needed a cake for an Appreciation so we decided to order from here.Placed the order @5:20pm Wed. evening to be picked up Sat morning. But I realized I needed to change the writing/ lettering, so I called the very next day at 1pm, Thur, to make the change and I was told it couldn't be changed, something about 18 hours?♀️I mentioned that all I needed to change was the letting, which is the last and finishing touch of the process, and was told it would have to be changed on the order form, and he said he didn't know where that was and that it just couldn't be changed.I know that changing from yellow to chocolate cake or changing the size, would have been much more difficult, and I wouldn't have even made that kind of request, but I don't understand why they couldn't make that quick change that early in the order.If it wasn't for the fact that I didn't want the person in whom we are getting the cake for, to suffer, I would have just canceled the order. Not to mention the prices are double compared to other bakeries, along with extra charges that other bakeries don't charge for. But that would have all been OK if they were more personable and cared about returning customers.This is not good customer service or relations.

My husband went here to buy me an Atomic cake for my birthday, it was absolutely awful we each cut a piece the banana cake on the bottom was so soggy since the pudding that was on top was watery and wasn't set up. Threw the cake in the garbage worst cake I ever had and atomic cake is my favorite

My grandkids were having a joint birthday party so we decided to order a “joint” cake. After spending a few minutes with the order taker… she drew the design and they NAILED IT! It was so colorful and tasted so yummy. It was definitely the center piece of the party!
