Me and my dad went to eat there in the early afternoon and the whole experience was phenomenal. The staff (including the owner) were very friendly, and their freshly made sloppy joe smash burgers were incredible. I greatly appreciate how accessible the downtown has become, we were able to park in one of the center parking spots and walk along the newly redesigned street to the restaurant. The dining room is beautiful and has a performer stage for weekend events.

I mean it when I say that more places like this are greatly needed in downtown Hammond. We will definitely be back to try out the breakfast menu!

Finally got to try Eat for brunch. It was a lovely experience and the food was very good. We tried the biscuits and gravy, an over easy egg plate with sides (yorkshire pudding is available as a toast choice) and the Smashburger Joe (elevated sloppy joe) with EAT potatoes. Everything was amazing! Owner was friendly and welcoming and the girls that served us were very friendly and sweet! Will be back! Want to also check out a band soon!

Such a delicious brunch! Scrumptious levels of flavor. The owner was a great host happy to talk about the history of the building and delighted to introduce us to excellent dishes with great quality and a new twist.

EAT is a fantastic casual restaurant that perfectly combines great food and live music for an unforgettable night out. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for hanging out with friends or family.

The menu features a variety of delicious options, from hearty burgers to fresh salads, all made with quality ingredients. I was attempted to try the BBQ chicken sandwich, which I overheard it was bursting with flavor.

The highlight, though, was the live band. They created an energetic atmosphere that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The music was just the right volume, allowing for great conversation while still being lively.

Overall, EAT is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy tasty food, and soak in some great live music. I can’t wait to return!

Parking: Parking is in the street and in the rear of the building.

Pretty sure this place is permanently closed or they need to update their hours. Tried Wednesday at 1pm.
Seemed like a good space and Google said open… upon arrival it appeared abandoned for some time.

I didn't eat food on this visit, I was there to hear some live music. But the inside of this place is very cool alot of nostalgia old equipment from long ago which creates a very warm and comfortable setting. Will definitely be going back to get some food as the owner of this business also taco real a very famous Mexican restaurant

$20 for three bland shrimp tacos with two shrimp each with tail intact. $20 EAT burrito tasted, no kidding, just like Taco Bell.
