This was our first time back in a while wanting to test out Freddy's again since the update after the TV show. When we got there we were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice. I started to order the wedge salad for us to split but they were apparently out so that wasn't a great start. This is also 6:30 on a Friday. We decided to stick with the salads with dinner. My girlfriend ordered the fried lake perch. I tried to order the chicken piccata but they were out of that too. So I asked for a few more minutes before I ordered. The waitress then came back and said yes we do have chicken piccata. So I ordered that. We got our house salads which were comprised of some iceberg lettuce that didn't seem quite as fresh as it should be. The savior was the blue cheese dressing which was excellent. Lots of big chunks of blue cheese. The dressing made up for the lackluster salad. The bread they served with the flavored butter was excellent. My girlfriend's fried lake perch was great and the homemade tartar sauce was also excellent. We both loved it. My chicken piccata tasted great with the mushroom cream sauce but the portion size was ludacrisly small (1 piece around 4-6 oz) and the chicken was actually a bit tough. It was overcooked significantly and actually a bit chewy. Again the sauce was great and helped to make up for it but the size was very small and the chicken was tough. The service was also quite slow. The restaurant was only half full on a Friday and it took a very long time to get our meals. Our waitress was great. It wasn't her. Food was taking forever and and she kept updating us. The kitchen was just super slow and it wasn't busy at all.
I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars but there wasn't enough good stuff to justify 4.

If you are looking for a restaurant that takes you back in time, with fabulous food, this is the place. Our family has held events in the Viking Room and everyone has had a great time and a wonderful meal. Once our family held an event and Freddy's had entertainment that night and we had a blast. Everyone was singing out loud! The service is great as well. The owners, Jim and Tammy, will go out of their way to make your event special. Today I had the pork chop dinner and it was 2 14oz chops. It was the best pork chop I've ever had! I could only eat one pork chop because you get so much included with your dinner! You need to try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

I was so disappointed I couldn’t even write the review the day of, I had to wait. For a month I had been carving a good steak and my son n I decided to visit this place. Considering that celebrity cook had worked with this restaurant to supposedly get it to be the best. I’m sure he would have some choice words of his own. We order oyster Rockefellers, when they reached our table they looked like they was a little burnt from broil but nope they were cold. Right there I started to worry and against my better judgment we stuck it out. My son ordered medium rare and while again the out side looked cooked but the inside was completely red, rare. I did pay for the meal, I figured I would feed to my dogs for the price $150 but after further thought I reconsidered, I love my babies to feed them something I wouldn’t eat.
Was there for Thanksgiving this year and it was so yummy. Our server Paulette was amazing. Definitely will be back.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening with a party of six; the service was friendly and attentive.
The food was a mixed bag.
Lake perch was rated 10/10, the favorite item from the table.
Steak sandwich came out rarer than ordered doneness; it was sent back and was enjoyed when cooked to his liking.
Grilled swordfish was advertised on the menu as coming with sweet onions and peppers, but was served on a pile of caramelized onions with no peppers. It was fine but needed some additional seasoning and a sauce to tie the dish together.
The remaining dishes ordered were sautéed shrimp, ribs, and chicken piccata, which all had good flavor.
However, the biggest detractor from the meal was that ALL of the dishes, except the perch, were lukewarm. We each could have, and probably should have sent them back to the kitchen, but you get worried about microwave reheating etc. I'm not sure what caused this issue but the temperature was such that the food had to be sitting for a while before it ever made it to the table. Not even hot for the first bite with the exception of the lake perch.

Have been coming here for years. The menu is now parred down so some old favorites are no longer available such as prime rib, scallops, lobster tail etc. Our steaks were cooked perfectly but the standout that made our visit so good was our server Billie. He was absolutely awesome! Personable and attentive. Some of the lighting updates in the dining area are brighter and harsher than in the past so we sat in the bar area where the lighting was dimmer and more intimate for fine a dining atmosphere.

Went as a party of 5 and everything was great from the food to the service. Amongst the group we had several appetizers and everyone had a drink or two and the bill came to about half of what you'd spend at any other steakhouse in the region. The value is A+ and its worth a visit!

This place is a hidden gem with so much character yet so warm, cozy and a sense of family feeling. Customer service was phenomenal and very welcoming.. We had the Porter House Steaks that were cooked perfectly to our liking and so juicy, tender and full of flavor.. We drove to this place from Chicago to experience it for my fiancee Birthday and it was so worth the 45min drive.. Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful customer service

My husband and I hardly go out to eat so when we do we want to eat good food with good vibes. Well, Freddy's was it!
The second we walked in, greeted with a smile. When our server came, he was awesome, fun attitude, just loved him. Then the food came and everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered a porterhouse, ribs and shrimp and even after the rolls soup and salad we ate, we were extremely satisfied and could not stop eating. Everything was delicious from the service to the drinks to the food. This is our new spot and we will be back!
Shout out to the Freddy's Team

My girlfriend and I had dinner and what a great choice we made, I hadn't been to Freddy's in awhile but wow the food was outstanding the service was also top notch, coupled with the host making sure to have a good conversation with us really made our evening so much better.
For dinner she had the NY strip special and let me say this I recently had dinner in Cleveland at Delmonicos and by far this steak was superior to the filet I had there. I had a stuffed salmon that was absolutely perfect.
It's so nice to see such a classic establishment still going with such outstanding service. We are definitely planning to return as this is my favorite steakhouse.
