La Isla Michoacana Ice Cream Shop

One of my favorite snack shops around Hammond, Piña colada and Mexican style street cor and chocolate abuelita icecream are some of my favorite.

They had so many different types of ice cream I tried the bubble gum ice cream and it's really good and so is my family they tasted a different flavor and they love it!

Don't get money's worth and shitty customer service. No common decency for people in general.

Ordered a raspado, dipped swirl cone, pretzel, nachos with cheese and a coke. Paid 17.99 and received the raspado, swirl cone with no dip, pretzel with cheese and a coke. Was waiting for the nachos and then asked and was told I was never rang up for them when I clearly heard it repeated back to me. Wasn’t given any receipt. 17.99 for four items definitely was not worth it and will not be going back.

The people who work there are very incompetent. I don’t understand why they selling nachos with cheese and peppers. If they don’t know how to prepare it, you don’t have to be that bright put chips in a container. Pour enough cheese and hot peppers. Literally only chips
if you ask for more peppers or cheese, they charge you extra never going back. If I wanted plain nacho chips, I could go to Aldi‘s for the half of the price.

Love this place. Me and my bf love stopping by our favorite icecream place. Service is amazing and the staff is so kind and helpful. I enjoy my varieties of cones and swirls. Go to is always the banana splits and strawberry sundaes. Love this season when they are just around the corner to enjoy some yummy treats!

I had the banana split with 2 scoops of Abuelita chocolate with actual chocolate pieces and strawberry.. topped with chocolate drizzle, and carmel.. along with whip cream and a cherry... oh and can't forget the wafers! It was perfect!! My friends daughter had 2 scoops of the Limon in a sprinkled covered waffle cone... She enjoyed it very much. This place is officially our spot! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices are definitely worth it!! Thank you guys!! See ya soon 😁.

Super expensive, we bought corn in the cup and it was flavor less and super expensive. Its nothing else than corn from a big can that coat 5 dollars and they just put it on the microwave to heat it up.

Never disappoints. My grandson loves their 'Walking Tacos". And the different flavor smoothies are delicious. Would go there every day if I was able to.
