We have been ordering food from MJ Deli since we moved to Munster seven years ago. Every Christmas, my entire family cannot stop bragging about how amazing everything is. Blintzes, pierogi, and uszka are incredibly delicious, and the dough is thin, just like in Poland. Of course, sauerkraut, red borscht, and mushroom soup are exceptional—made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. We are always on the lookout for an MJ stand at Pierogi Fest during the summer.

Love their selection of pierogi. Bought the meat, pepper jack and meat, and the chorizo and potato. All were AMAZING! The golumpki was good too!

I had been craving my late grandmother’s cooking for several days. While taking a detour through Hammond I spotted MJ’s on Calumet Avenue and decided to drop in. I’m so glad I did!
The nice folks at MJ’s happened to have a batch of hot, fresh pierogi ready to eat. They were kind enough to package them up and I drove home eating possibly the best savory pierogi I’ve ever tasted (I don’t think my grandma would mind my saying so if she could taste these!) Between bites, I kept saying, “I can’t believe how good these are!”
It was a great, unexpected treat that really hit the spot for me. I will definitely make MJ’s a regular stop on my trips between Chicago and Fort Wayne.

Oh wow, I haven't had Polish sausage like this since my grandparents passed away. Delicious, incredible, authentic. I will dream about it until I can go back again.

I drive from Ft Wayne to buy traditional Polish food for five seniors' Christmas. Well worth my drive. Great ethnic atmosphere. Large selection of cooked, baked and frozen delicacies. Friendly, efficient and courteous customer service. I love the experience!
