I had a wonderful experience here! I wasn't expecting to go in through the courthouse, but Virginette took care of me with some of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. I highly recommend Stella V.ie, especially if you love good food!

Since it's located in the Hammond courthouse, you aren't allowed to bring in a cell phone or laptop.So if you're looking for a nice, quiet, independent coffee place to get a little work done with a cup of joe- this isn't the place.Unless "you're a lawyer and have been cleared by the court".

I am so happy I chose this cafe' to make the food for an office meeting I was hosting today. Not only was the food great, she was able to help me with some last minute accommodations. Great sandwich place! Stopped here on a quick lunch break. Had the turkey sandwich with spicy slaw, which was great. Everything appears to be made from scratch. Very friendly staff and owner. Great addition to the downtown!
Food was great! Service friendly and atmosphere welcoming. I had the chili, which was thick and spicy, loaded with beans, and the chicken spinach wrap. The wrap was fantastic! Fresh ingredients, and even January in IL, the tomatoes were crisp. I'd go again in a heartbeat!
I stopped in here for the first time today. I can only attest to the coffee, I did not order food. The coffee is excellent and the owner seems like an awesome person, she just has a great vibe. Like I said I did eat but it smells amazing in there and I sure the sandwiches are as good as the coffee! For the record I had a red eye coffee, terrific flavor, very smooth, not bitter or burnt at all. Well done Stella V.ie, well done!
