The food was not the Haub’s Steakhouse that I use to go to before it was sold .

The appetizer and ice Kailua was the best. The meal (filet) was so tough salad was brown. Have had a lot better from golden corral. Have been there 3 times and wont be going back.

The ambiance was perfect. The food was top-notch, finally found a place that knows how to cook broccoli, not soft and soggy and not too firm. My wife loved the bread. The server was very friendly and helped to make the experience enjoyable.

We had reservations, walked in and were seated. We got water. Waited 20 minutes watching other parties that came in after us get waited on. We finally gave up and left. This place sucks at customer service!!

We were so disappointed in our visit to Haub House. We live over an hour away, so we traveled to get there. It was NYE , and required a reservation so they should have had an idea of how many people they would be serving. They did have larger groups (like 6-10 people) but not every table was seated (I would say half). The service was very slow and it took awhile to get to order. We buy our beef by the half, so I know what a good steak is and don't mind paying for it. I got a ribeye and it was so thin (maybe 3/8") as well as overcooked. My husband's prime rib was also over cooked. When they brought our food out nobody got a baked potato which had been ordered. When asked the response was "didn't anybody tell you we were out? We've been out for a while" . Yes, I know restaurants run out of things but once again, it's NYE and people made reservations, so you should have a pretty good headcount. The so called twice baked potatoes were cold mounds of mashed potatoes with a little bit of what might have been cheese on them. Just an overall disappointment. We hadn't been there for several years because of distance but was so looking forward to it because of past experience there.

Our first visit back in 26 years…a nostalgia trip for sure as memories of our previous visit were confirmed upon entering the facility. We arrived an hour after opening to get ahead of a Saturday night crowd and avoid any added pressure on the wait staff and cooks.Server was attentive and stopped back often so overall service was good.Appetizer order was placed and we had seen great reviews on bacon wrapped chicken livers. Rough start as they arrived over cooked and dry.Salads were what is expected when going out at a restaurant of this perceived quality..standard preparation/presentationBread was provided and was warm and fresh.Dinners included potato and salad. Baked potatoes for 2 of us and another opted for a twice backed potato….good sized and as expected…it’s a potato right.Drinks were ok….beer , old fashioned and a margarita ….nothing special here.Ordered the large rib rib while my wife and daughter ordered the steaks …one ribeye and one filet….All cooked as ordered. We traded pieces around the table and all agreed the prime rib as on point…..steaks needed a little more seasoning..just seemed lacking on the taste buds.Asparagus on one order was kind of pitiful….very small in individual size and quantityDeserts were again kind of just book…nothing special. The atmosphere was very old school…..very quite , lots of dinners might have arrived for the early bird menu…nice as offering from 4:00 to 6:00pm CST. It would be hard to point out any areas that have been refreshed or changed on the last few years….while our focus was on the food it never hurts to look at your property from a guests perspective.Would recommend the owner, managers and servers all have dinner there once a month …..try different dishes and view their experiences through the lens of the customers…..might be eye opening and informative. The train tracks are right in front of the restaurant and brought smiles to our faces as we were treated to 2 passing during dinner…..unique experience for sure.

Maybe the best steak I have ever had, and fried potatoes to die for. Do yourself a favor and go eat there. Should have taken the photo sooner.

Went here for the first time on my birthday. I was excited, kind of dressed up, but that clearly wasn't needed. I wasn't impressed at all. My steak lacked any flavor, and the place really needs to be remodeled with an update. Felt dirty. I had heard such great things but, it wasn't what I was thinking at all, really thought it would have been a lot better. I won't go back.

Steak was excellent & so was the Salmon. Small steak but big & best Salmon I've ever had. Plenty of parking & you get to see the train fly by the front door.Building is very old & has charm like going back in time.

Took wife there for first time. 12 cars in parking lot. Took 15 minutes for hostess to greet us. Restaurant 1/4 full and said 20-25 minute wait. 6pm and some specials like prime rib said sold out. Never been the same since previous owners. Very sad!
