I went to this place for the first time today and was really expecting chicken but decided to try to soul food. I was not pleased. I started eating my greens to find out it was cabbage in them too. I don't eat greens mixed with cabbage. When a cooking is dealing with food, you should not come from the kitchen with used gloves on with batter and seasoning on them and proceed back to the kitchen with them on. The only thing that was hot was my fish..The macaroni was warm but the greens was not satisfying. I Didn't know it was cabbage under my greens til I came home..1313 Eatery on East 38th street.

I just read that not only are the Grippo wings good but allegedly they have a wide selection of drugs, guns, and ammo as well!? (Allegedly) Great family place, I'm sure the neighborhood feels lucky to have it around!

"Collins was arrested during a traffic stop after detectives witnessed a “hand-to-hand drug transaction” in a parking lot in the 3200 block of N. Emerson. During the traffic stop, police found a handgun in Collins’ possession.The investigation eventually led police to 1313 Eatery, a chicken wing shop located at 5299 E. 38th Street. Detectives searched the business and seized approximately 600 grams of cocaine, five pounds of meth, one pound of marijuana and 70 grams of fentanyl pills."Knew that chicken had something addictive in it! ?But for real, they found a ton of drugs and 3 guns (2 of which were stolen) and 900 rounds of ammo in the restaurant.

Adds to much fentanyl to the vegan wings (not possible) and the cocaine leaves something to desire.

Drug front

Holy smokes!! We had lunch catered and everything was fantastic! We had wings, fried catfish, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese and Cole slaw…. So good!!! Will order again!!

If you want a true grip on eating good food then hit 1313 Eatery and grab a plate of grippo wing's and some swamp water ???❤️‍??️

My food was burnt and very salty I was not happy especially for the price

I haven't eaten there yet but I did pull up to their new location on East 38th Street at 3 p..m. the website says they're open from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. when I got there cars was lining up in the parking lot but the building door said closed. This is Sunday March the 3rd 2024
