Double check your Togo orders. Looks like they gave me what they wanted me to have instead of what I ordered. I asked for chic pea curry not sure what this is

Food is great, but there has to be more than one server for the restaurant. It ruins the experience.

A wonderful experience! The service was kind and attentive and they put out the best entrees on their buffet without holding them back for menu-only ordering.A nice selection at the bar, including some good beer and whiskey choices.Do not miss their goat biryani or their fried chicken!

I ate their BENGALI buffet couple of times. Pros - The goat curry was cooked really well falling of the bones and with ample meat. The goat biryani was good and so as the naan. The Their dishes are cooked without cream, which is a good thing for me. I didn’t try much of their vegetarian dishes. They got couple of fish dishes too My veg friends liked those.Cons - they outweigh the pros. Watch out for the chicken thighs in the gravy and the biryani. THEY WERE UNDER COOKED BOTH TIMES!The gulab jamuns didn’t have much flavor, but will do for the western taste. For the price of $22, the dinner buffet looked so sad. They expected not much crowd and served the leftovers from the lunch?Waiter was not attending much cleaning up the dirty plates on time as they piled up on our table. He was interested in watching tv only. But when the bill came there was a 15% gratuity added, mind you we were less than 5, and that was before tax. Not fair! Why do I want to pay the owner waiter who didn’t bother to attend us a 15% on the buffet? Not coming back!!!

The buffet was fantastic. The selection wasn't the largest, but each item was perfect. From the potato chips to the rice, it really calls you wanting to go back!Service was quick and easy, and the value for the buffet was fantastic. One of the cheapest buffets in Indianapolis that I've seen recently.

We were in from our of town working and I wanted to try an Indian restaurant. I was drawn to Amara because of the extensive menu of Indo Chinese which is not something we have a lot of in Cincinnati. Also BONUS - they have a full bar. When I looked at other Indian Restaurant options they only served beer and wine. I appreciated that this was a full bar.I started with a Sweet & Spicy Tamarind margarita which was delicious - highly recommend. From there I switched to grapefruit vodka which was also good.We started with a selection of apps. Tamarind cauliflower was amazing. Highly recommend. Eggplant and kale pakoras I wanted a little bit more from flavor wise but still good. Also ordered the Chicken 65. Super spicy and super good. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Korma, 2 chicken biriyanis, Matar Paneer and Chicken in Creamy Garlic Sauce.Everyone really enjoyed their food. I thought it was odd that he didn't ask for a spice level but that was my only quibble. The chicken in creamy garlic sauce had no spice and I wished it would have been spicier. Ended up using the Chicken 65 on my rice and the creamy garlic sauce on top of it so that was a win.We also got a couple orders of the malabar parotta (bread) which was delish.Overall thought the food was really good and loved the variety of options!

I would not recommend this place unless you do not mind waiting for a long time (for at least 40 minutes) for just a drink and a couple of appetizers to start. Three groups of people came after us and were served with their drinks and appetizers within 10-15 minutes after arrival. Eventually the waiter came out with dirty plates and silverwares after I reminded him that we had been sitting there for a long time with nothing to our table. He told us that he would be out with food soon. We set for another 10 -15 minutes or so and decided to leave after spending a total of 1 hour there. At the end, we were served with nothing but dirty plates and silverwares. They did not even apologize when they saw us leaving. Just asked us what did you order?? Really! Definitely not a place to go! What at waste of time! Certainly should not have only one server on a Saturday night.

Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend vegetable biryani, channa masala, and, for the meat eaters, butter chicken. Garlic Naan is buttery heaven!

We were 9 of us for dine in and ordered variety of things and the service and food both were bad. None of the food items were fresh and the waiter kept forgetting and messing up with our orders. Chicken items felt like it was reheated over and over again. Naan was like papad. I would not recommend this place.
