I want to begin by expressing that this is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city—a true hidden gem. The quality of the coffee is consistently outstanding, and the pastries are exceptional. The staff members are not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable, which enhances the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful bite to eat alongside some excellent coffee. It certainly deserves more than five stars.

On a separate note, I would like to address the owner directly. Please know that I mean no disrespect regarding the operation of your business. However, it would be beneficial to have a designated area for dirty dishes. I've noticed that many customer are hesitant to leave their dishes on the table out of respect, especially during busy times when staff may not be able to attend to cleaning immediately. This situation can create confusion for customers trying to find a place to sit. I believe that providing a spot for dirty dishes would enhance the aesthetic appeal of the café and contribute to a more pleasant atmosphere. I've witnessed numerous instances where customers are uncertain about what to do with their dishes.

Amberson Coffee & Grocer is such a gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the coffee and groceries are always top quality, and the team truly goes above and beyond. Working with Hugo was an absolute pleasure—professional, kind, and genuinely invested in creating a great experience for his guests. I can’t recommend this place enough!

It took 30 minutes to get my one to go latte this morning, and I know I wasn’t the only one :( I wish they had a sign about the wait time or at least warned you at the counter that they’re behind, because I had somewhere to be and I was late. This is not the first time it’s taken what felt like too long here, but 30 minutes makes me think twice about coming here over somewhere quicker next time.

I'm here for the convention and it's so difficult to find coffee downtown because of traffic, so I came out to the Fletcher Point neighborhood (I think that's what it's called I've never been to Indianapolis til now). I'm so grateful that that was the case otherwise I would've missed out on this gem. I was greeted literally immediately by a tall, friendly guy. I got the date vanilla latte and the banana cake. I was expecting a normal, smallish slice of cake - this man gives us 2 slices of this glorious, frosted pastry. I'm also stoked that they use jars for to-go coffee rather than paper or plastic cups.

My husband and I stopped here the day after our wedding on our way through Indianapolis, and were thoroughly impressed! If you are into coffee culture, this is a place for you - the baristas know their stuff. Further, if you do stop, you have to try the honey white flower latte, it is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever tasted.

I'm in love with this place! During Plastic-free July, I really appreciate their commitment to Sustainability. NO single use to-go cups; they send your coffee off with you in a glass jar, which people can return upon their next visit. No straws. No plastic cutlery or stir sticks. They use all ceramic and glass service for dine-in, but if you are taking your food home, they use compostable containers.

I had an Iced Latte in my reusable cup, and the kids (20 somethings) had the Hunnymilk Latte in their to-go jars. Both items were perfect. The bakery items available looked delish, but we didn't have any.

Now, the store itself...so adorable. And, the staff is very nice. I loved our visit so much, I came back the next morning before heading out of town. I wish this coffee shop was my local shop, or my local shop was like this shop. We need more commitment like this to our planet, with excellent products.

Coffee lover's place to be. Great employees to talk to, and most importantly great coffee. I had a pour over that was greatly extracted with wonderful floral notes.

Aside from my own shop this is my favorite! I love the offerings. They feature multiple roasters which allows them to get super unique options that change frequently. The baristas are always so nice and I love that they are willing to chat about what they have brewing! The conversations about coffee always leave me excited. They do feature some sweetened options that are delicious as well. The food has always been yummy. They are committed to sustainable options with their to go jars. Just an all around fantastic shop!
