I have a soft spot for the simplicity of a plain croissant. Having traveled to many highly revered culinary destinations such as Paris, Madrid, and NYC, I always make it a point to sample a croissant from a local bakery in each place. Among my favorites is the croissant from Amelia's—it's perfectly buttery and delicately flaky, truly an excellent representation of this classic pastry. I have also tried others and they are just as good. 10/10

While we were waiting to be seated for brunch, we walked over here to peruse the goods. Nothing really stood out to me, except for the chocolate chip cookie. It was a delicious cookie with salt on top.

Got a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon roll croissant. Both were delightfully flakey, the chocolate one with generous amounts of chocolate without being overpowering, and the cinnamon roll croissant married the croissant with cinnamon and frosting incredibly well.

This is just one of the best little bakeries in Indy. Their breads are all great and their croissants are amazing.

Absolutely phenomenal bread and pastries but cat owners beware. For some reason they fiend for Amelia’s. They’ll dig through bags and climb shelves to get to it. One of mine shakes with excitement when he smells it. I don’t know how or why they so consistently seek out Amelia’s products specifically but it’s becoming increasingly challenging to keep them at bay. Anyway it’s darn good stuff, endorsed by both people and what are supposed to be obligate carnivores.

When this place opened it was a godsend. Finally, quality, European style bread in Indianapolis. A little, pricey, yes, but excellent for a special occasion. Sadly, it has become the poster child of gentrification. Selling a wide variety of goods you can't afford. Do they really think they did any favors to the people who used to live (some still do) around Fountain Square? They don't want your business. They don't answer their phone and the website store won't take a holiday order four days out. It just drips with pretentiousness.

Been coming here for a several years for take out. Whatever you get will be good. I am partial to rye bread.

The pastries are amazing. The croissants, bread etc are flaky and fresh they melt in your mouth. The service was ok, nothing to brag about. The two young ladies there are not the friendliest but I guess they are doing their job.I would have given the place a five unfortunately they don’t have the means to heat up your pastries. It was worth the 22 mile drive.
