As unbelievable as this may sound, not a single state has an official sandwich. And after eating the unofficial state sandwich of Indiana I think I know why. First things first though, according my extensive internet research, the official unofficial state sandwich of Indiana is the Pork Tenderloin. And if you are only going to eat one, which was the plan, then it should be eaten at the Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant. It comes on a bun (mine was oddly from Toronto) that covers a maximum of 33% of the loin, with lettuce, tomato, and three dill pickle coins and a loin eater's choice of ketchup, mayo and/or mustard (I chose mayo). For some it might be advisable to share. Washed down by a draft Ayinger Lager: Excellent!!! So good in fact I'm thinking I'll share another with Mrs. AAR if the opportunity arises. Oh, yeah, the reason why this great country lacks even one official state sandwich¹ may be the same reason this country can't provide adequate health care . . . politics. In Indiana's case House Bill 1143 has languished since 2023 possibly due to pushback from the Polish sausage and fried brain sandwich lobby. ¹ According to Wikipedia the "Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese," is the only official state sandwich. It was made "official" by the New Jersey governor on May 25, 2023, though this might just be due to the Taylor Swift's impending visiting to MetLife Stadium. Either way it has not been been approved by the state legislature.

Recently we visited the Aristocrat Pub before a play at Clowe's. However, I think everyone else did too! Despite it being busy, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great! My husband enjoyed his cottage pie and my salad was big enough for two! The only downside is there isn't a lot of parking we had to park a couple of blocks away but on a nice evening- no complaints!

I was fortunate to go to the Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant today on my way to Dayton, OH to see the total eclipse. I had The Hoosier Tenderloin. It was fantastic. Very flavorful, very large and had crispy breading without being greasy. I selected the cole slaw and it was great. I sat at the bar and service was quick and the server was very nice. I felt very welcomed. Previously I only had pork tenderloin sandwiches at the now closed Edward's Drive-In. The Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant version blows Edward's sandwich away.

Loved the model ships of the line, the attentive service, and good food. But I'll rave about the Guinness. Just like Ireland!

I’ve been here a few times and each time I have a great time! Best bloody Mary’s in Indiana too! The only reason I give them 4 stars on the food is because their Shepherds Pie (my fav) ends up becoming a brick in your stomach. I recommend their Brussel sprouts and brunch food options though!! The brunch mimosa bucket only gives you 3 mimosas not 4 as posted. Just so you know.

Nice place different choices on the menu from the drinks to the food. The inside looks like an old tavern. You won't get disappointed. Nice service and fast.

Came here for brunch on St. Patty's day and it was lovely! The band, Laughing Jack, was playing classic Irish music and it was all around a great time and the food was delicious! I got the Country Hash and a Coffee with a shot of Bailey's and my husband got the The Original egg benedict and a Pineapple Mango Mimosa. Highly recommend them all. Our server, Courtney, was very sweet and helpful as well. She's actually the one who offered the Bailey's and I totally went for it. I'd honestly love to make this a tradition every St. Patrick's day.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome!

This was our first stop after leaving the airport and the pork tenderloin didn't disappoint. It was delicious along with the Aristocrat Beer-Cheese Dip and Sweet Chili Brussel Sprouts. The service was excellent. We wanted to add a photo, but we dove it too fast. Another stop here could be in our future....YUM!!!

Nice service!! I loved the ambiance of the pub. It felt cozy! My husband loved the schnitzel and he's a picky pants. I ordered the fish tacos. They were pretty good. We really liked the Brussel sprouts too!

Cozy pub, but with lots of space! My husband and I visited for the first time tonight. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We liked the decor from unique light fixtures, to the fireplace, to cozy little enclosed booths. We ordered the fish and chips and the mac and cheese burger. They came out fairly quickly and we both enjoyed our meals. Our server was friendly and helpful too.
