We came tonight and looked forward to having a date night. I want to preface this saying I adore kids, but we anticipated sitting at the bar for a kid free night. It was brought to my attention that the CEO was present for a party and the kids that we sitting at the bar top were his. It was disappointing that the wait staff had to apologize to us for how the children were sitting at the bar top. It made us feel uncomfortable and annoyed and ate our food and left even though we wanted to stay for another round and dessert. Our wait staff was great, but if the CEO reads this: I love kids and I know you love yours, but as a guest sitting at the “bar top”, it was really disappointing to be sitting next to two kids without a parent sitting with them and they weren’t necessarily sitting and being quiet watching cartoons. Your wait staff had to practically baby sit them.. it is also still illegal for children to sit at a bar top where alcohol is sold per Indiana State Code.
smash burger w jalps bacon & guac is fiiiire. also got the best cuban sandwich of my life!!
landstone cider is also perfect
Ash and Elm is great! Every time I go, the food is outstanding. If you need to be gluten-free, this is the place to go! The gluten-free fried chicken sandwich and cheese curds are so, so good!My son goes to IU in Bloomington. We go here every time he comes home!
Let me just say I LOVE their cider. To the point if I see a restaurant has it on their draft menu, I’m already sold.
However, I went with my four month old and was made to feel unwelcome by having a baby by staff.
I was joined by a friend who also has a three month old and was a bit better after our initial reaction, but it left an awful taste in my mouth since then, and I often think about it.
When going out to eat we often choose breweries or other type restaurants like this because they have larger tables, more open spaces, and a casual atmosphere.
As a postpartum mom, i cannot seem to shake the embarrassment and anger and the way we’re perceived, especially at a such vulnerable time, where I am just starting to come out in public.
Will return for growler fills, but most likely won’t be bringing my family or eating anytime soon.
Delicious ciders and food! Love all the fun experimental flavors
Had a wonderful visit at this cider room. They offer a great selection of draft cider. While their food menu is small, they have some good vegan options! We tried a tofu bowl and vegan chili. Both had great flavor! Friendly service and chill atmosphere.
It's a super cute place. Hoping to check out The Golden Girls Trivia & Costume contest night. Fun activities are planned. The ciders are very tasty
We sat at our table for twenty minutes. No one acknowledged that we were there except for the host who was rude and stand off ish. We walked out and left
I called ahead and asked if I could add one more person to my reservation and they were incredibly rude. They told me that the event was so popular, there wouldn't be any open seats. When I arrived, I was placed at a table with four seats, so there were two open seats that my friend could have sat at. I was incredibly frustrated and disappointed by the service.
Had another great time at Ash & Elm. They hosted Drag Bingo with Chantal Devereaux which was great fun. And our server, Morgan, was THE BEST!!!

Food was amazing!!!! Had the Mediterranean bowl with a cider braise chicken. Absolutely wonderful.
Dietary restrictions: Great place for those who have to eat gluten free. Friend has celiac disease and she can eat there with no concerns
Parking: Just be prepared to have to walk once you find parking.
We made reservations for brunch for a birthday celebration and when we arrived the brunch menu was no longer in season; so that was a little bummer. I will say, our server, Erin, and the cider were exceptional.
Since we had planned on brunch/breakfast food we were kind of thrown for a loop and decided to order appetizers to share. There isn't a polite way to say that the food was mediocre at best; I think the oil in the fryer could use a changing.
The restrooms were not the cleanest; which was surprising because the restaurant was organized, bright and cheery.
I am not a huge cider fan; generally they are too sweet. The variety Ash & Elm have was next level and my taste buds were happy and shocked all in one.
Because of the cider and the experience with our server; I would go back to have drinks for sure.

The ciders are always phenomenal and being celiac safe is great. Wish they would bring back the tofu options due to being vegan and the options are only salad and chili. The bowl they had before was fantastic
Ciders & steak sandwich were on point!!
