Baan Thai Bistro

My favorite Thai place in Indy, several vegan options available. If I recall, the menu is unfortunately not labeled with the word vegan explicitly in most places but the staff is very knowledgable about what "vegan" means. My favorite is the Pad Thai (tell them you want vegan, and mention no egg and no fish sauce). Every other thing I've tried is good. We always get the deep fried tofu appetizer. The outside patio is very nice and we love sitting out there. Be aware that in late summer and early fall there are sometimes a few yellowjackets out there. We left them alone, didn't freak out, and they only minorly bothered us. Staff warned us they were out there and we still opted to sit outside.

Get the fried banana dessert. Divine!

My wife and I had wonderful experience while recently celebrating our anniversary at Baan Thai Bistro. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the friendly, cozy atmosphere.
The menu was outstanding. It’s clear that a lot of care and tradition goes into every dish. A special shoutout to our server, TJ, who not only provided excellent service but also shared a bit of the restaurant’s history and spoke warmly about his grandmother, the head chef. We would recommend Baan Thai Bistro to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Absolutely incredible Thai food on the south east side of Indianapolis. The pink noodles with crispy pork belly was some of the best Thai I've ever had. A place that anyone in the Indy area that enjoys Thai food should give a try.

Amazing authentic Thai food with plenty gluten free options!! I got Chicken Satay with peanut sauce and enjoyed it. I have been looking for this dish since I had it at a restaurant at Disney World.

I’ve always enjoyed coming here however, this time It took the server 15 minutes to greet me. At that point I ordered my Thai tea dumpling appetizer and stir fry. After 25 minutes the dumplings came out Cole in the middle, took them 15 minutes to bring me out the same but new appetizer and after another 20-25 minutes the entree came out.

Extremely sad that it took over an hour to receive food, I plan on coming again but the egregious wait was not necessary. I ended up taking my entree to-go due to this lackluster experience.

very tasty, affordable and aesthetic place. Waiter was super attentive. Tried the spring rolls and soup w lunch special and got drunken noodles and Thai tea. Everything was amazing so would definitely come back!
