We’ve been here a few times and it’s always been great. Today we went and had the sweetest waitress. She helped cook the food so we could focus on eating a spending time with our family. She made good conversation with us. I had made a comment to my daughter about how I miss the homemade kimchi that my auntie used to make, the waitress went to the back and brought me out some more kimchi and said that it was homemade here too. She was very helpful to my kids and any questions they had about the different sides. We went on a Wednesday night around 5, so it wasn’t too busy. The food is always great here and my favorite part is all the sides. They do add 18% gratuity to any bill with the all you can eat, it does state it on the menu so it’s not a surprise. Overall this is my favorite Korean restaurant in Indiana.

이새끼 저세끼 씨발 this 씨발 thatOrdered JungSik and kimchee stew. Usually what that means is that you get extra full set of banchan ( side dishes ) What I got wasn't all that, meaning the count of side dishes and quality wasn't what I expected. I was also surprised to find other people ordering lunch special seems to have pretty much same side dishes. Shrimp tempura I got wasn't good. It did not have usual shrimp texture. Bulgogi was actually pretty darn good. Kimchee stew was pretty much average.So food was between not bad and pretty good but what bothered me was that owner was sitting in the back corner making a loud call. He was speaking loudly in Korean and the conversation was bit rough.. 이새끼 저세끼 씨발 this 씨발 that. It is equivalent to SOB this that. I know he probably owns the place but he need to take it inside. Even if I could not understand it, just the volume and tone would not be pleasant. There were two Koreans in the dining area and the staff knew it too,

I’ve been going to Bando for the past 2 years, and I’ve never had anything short of amazing experience every time I come in. The staff are consistently very kind and doting, the food always is on point, and the environment is extremely comfortable. Even visiting on a busy night with no reservations, the staff made sure we were well taken care of. Once again, the staff are incredible, I really cannot emphasize that enough. Thank you Bando for being such a warm and welcoming introduction to my ongoing love of Korean food!

Firstly I would like to state that I am a firm believer that everyone should try everything once for themself as every experience will be different.This is just my own personal review, I have dined at this establishment on many occasions and each of my experiences is usually different than the last.The food itself is honestly quite delicious, from the actual Korean BBQ to the various sides and appetizers that they offer, it is also satisfactory.When we first started they did not charge for extra bowls of white rice, now you get the one bowl with the AYCE and every bowl after that is charged. I tend to only eat about 2 bowls with an AYCE meal but if you have a larger party , it’s another fee you need to keep your eyes peeled for.They also cut you off of the various sides that come with the AYCE. My family typically enjoys most of the sides and in the past hasn’t been an issue to ask for more, however with our last experience when we asked for a refill on the kimchi the server laughed and said that they couldn’t give us anymore. It made us feel bad for asking and we didn’t feel comfortable asking for anything else the rest of the meal.Again we understand the price of things can be high , especially when it comes to AYCE, but for the money you pay at this restaurant you would think they’d be able to spot you some extras here or there.Which brings me around to the gratuity situation.They claim to add gratuity to parties with more 5+ people but I have had gratuity added to my bill when I’ve only had a party of 2-3, I believe it is 18% but in my personal opinion not every experience is worthy of an 18% tip.Which ultimately brings me to the service, we have had some really amazing service and then we’ve had some very not amazing service.Sometimes we are made to feel like we do not cook things correctly when they come and just take over the cooking without saying anything. We do not mind the assistance but the silence is sometimes tense and awkward.Each table has a large vent hood above it that is meant to fan out the smoke created from the charcoal of each grill, they are typically loud once the restaurant fills up. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the people I’m sitting across from with all the noise. Typically I wouldn’t see this as an issue but the last couple times we’ve dined in our vent hood hasn’t worked properly it seems. The person I was dining with had to duck out of the way of all the smoke.Overall we have been to this establishment many times and for the most part we will probably continue to come , and please consider that every experience for everyone will vary. We have had amazing experiences here and we’ve had not so amazing experiences. I went there for my 14th birthday, this year and it was soooo good. I’ve never been to a Korean barbecue place, but I definitely recommend this place for everyone. The sweet lady and the man helped us since we didn’t know how to cut the meat or grill it , definitely coming there again probably for my next birthday!!! Thank you for a great experience.

Seriously the best Korean in town. The soybean paste soup is our ultimate favorite to go alongside the all you can eat Korean bbq. Service is always amazing and everyone is so nice. Definitely get the bbq option add some soup and don’t leave out the grapefruit soju and a cold glass of Sapporo to share. We visit here at least once a month
