A trip here is anything but bittersweet...They always have my favorites in stock and the service has always been fast and friendly.Their choice in ingredients results in mouthwatering bliss...seriously. I'm impressed by anyone that can save any of their sweets for longer than a day, I want to devour mine before I leave the parking lotI try to swing by everytime I'm in Irvington.

Bittersweet is a neighborhood favorite, so when we were considering a local, independently-owned place to get our wedding cake, there was no question where to go. We had a microwedding this May, so we special ordered a large round, standard flavor cake (lemon-raspberry). We also added 2 each of each variety of dessert bar and asked that they be cut. Ordering and pick-up were easy, and there were no issues. My guests LOVED all of the desserts, even those who don't care for lemon cake or raspberries commented on how delicious the cake was. Just a heads up that they get booked up for special orders, so make sure to call or go in and get a confirmation.

I wish they were open for more days, but it's probably for the best considering how often I visit. The snickerdoodle creme pie (?) is incredible. I purchase one at least 2x a month. Judging by my dogs reaction to me handing him one of their dogs treats I would imagine they're pretty good as well. Laura, the owner, is the best.

This place is divine! Located in Irvington, BitterSweet goes off the saying "bringing some sweetness to a bitter world" and they sure do. They have unique hours; Fri from 10-5, and Sat & Sun 9-3. Cinnamon Rolls are Saturday & Sunday only! As soon as we walked in, the smell of cinnamon rolls encased us. These are the best cinnamon rolls I have had. They have a case that ranges from key lime pie, cheesecake, pecan bars, lemon bars, etc. The associate who helped us said they also had Carrot Cake!, and I'm really beating myself up for not grabbing a slice. Instead I went with a bourbon pecan bar - and, you guessed it, it was so flipping good. I will definitely be back to try more goodies!

I'm one of Bittersweet's biggest fans! Laura and her staff are so welcoming and the place smells delicious. Some of my favorites are their famous cinnamon rolls, Sarah Smiles cookie sandwiches, and the coffee cake. Her menu rotates every weekend (posted on their Facebook account) and it features seasonal flavors and specialities. Everything is handmade with high quality ingredients and the best tasting recipes. Even our pup loves their homemade dog treats! We also ordered our wedding cake here and had a fantastic experience. I highly recommend working with Laura for any special event. The prices were fair, the end product was beautiful, and she even helped with the flowers and matched them perfectly to our desired colors. I'll be honest that normally cake isn't my first choice of dessert, but Bittersweet's is something special. Our main cake was the Lavender Vanilla, which we loved because it traditional with just a little fun twist. We also ordered caramel, strawberry, and chocolate so our guests could choose from all the delicious flavors we love.

We ordered a smash cake + bday cake for our sons 1st birthday party. We left all the details up to Laura - just told her our party theme. She knocked it out of the park with both cakes! And not only did they match the party decorations perfectly, the cake tasted so phenomenal and we got a lot of compliments on it from all the guests. Laura & everyone at Bittersweet are just the best! We stop by often to get treats so we knew her cakes would be just as good as all her other items in the bakery. She did not disappoint. We are ready to have another party just so we can order more cakes!
