The naan was fluffy and delicious. The masaman curry was well spiced. But I can't get over that they made it with plain tofu that they did absolutely nothing to. It wasn't brined, velveted, browned, fried... Nothing. Can't believe I paid $18 for tofu the way I eat it when I'm feeling utterly lazy.

Had the extra spicy vegan drunken noodles. Amazing flavor profile, great service and cool atmosphere. Would love to come back and try more dishes.

The pad Thai portion was HUGE and it was so good. I forget what seasonal cocktail I had, but we sat at the bar and found the waiter/bartender to be a mensch. I can’t wait to go back, but I will be very tempted to just reorder the pad Thai because it was that good. It’s definitely a cocktail bar first and foremost and the space size and volume reflects that, but as long as you’re down for that - you’re good to go. Also bummer about not having reservations.

3/5/25 Update: After my experience at Bodhi, the owner and I got in touch and she ensured that they are intentional about creating a safe space for immigrants at the restaurant. She told me to let her know when I visit next, so I did exactly that. We had a nice and genuine chat, and she also gave us apps on the house (which was a nice gesture). But even if she had not given us the apps on the house, our conversation in itself was very reassuring, and I can tell that she is a very hardworking lady who has given her 110% to her restaurant. Anywho, the food was great (as usual), the drinks were great (as usual). Kindness goes a long way for sure. :)

I really love this place. I’ve been a few times before, and the food has always been top notch. Our server was also great, but I will give it a 4/5 because the hostess (curly haired) made an odd comment when I showed her my super valid work permit: “just a reminder, this is going to expire in May.” And she proceeded to say: “it’s important guys.” I felt that was a very unnecessary remark for many reasons, also because this is a restaurant and not an airport. Plus, I am a law abiding individual who is super aware of her own visa status. Anywho, thanks for the reminder I guess? Great food tho, keep it up lol. 🙏

Came here for the first time because I am visiting Indy for work and met up with a friend. The place was popping on a Monday night! No worries though because the wait was shorter than the estimated 45 minutes they gave us. It’s small, but when you walk in it smells so good. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and I got it medium spicy (it has to be that or spicier), and their medium is for real. It was perfect. Spicy enough to make my nose run but not so spicy I couldn’t taste anything else. I also ordered the Solar Future drink, a cinnamon pear flavored mezcal drink. Smoky sweet and delicious. My friend got the green curry with shrimp and she said it was amazing. The prices were reasonable for the type of place and the quality. Highly recommend!

Dietary restrictions: My friend needed gluten free options and they had plenty to choose from and they even checked about the ingredients of her drink as well so she could have the best meal.

PLEASE GET A BIGGER BUILDING! I have come now 3 times in a row to Bohdi (they do not take reservations) and I have been put on an 1.5 waitlist on a Tuesday evening, told my table isn’t even guaranteed and been turned away even though there are two seats at the bar. Has been my favorite restaurant in Indy for the past 2 years but after constantly being busy with very few tables and few staff, I would like to see either a second location open up or a larger venue. Take out isn’t the same quality as the dine-in, to answer your question “well why don’t you just order take out?”).
Please, for the love of everything delicious, open a larger venue or second location, or take reservations. Also bad parking :/ do better Bohdi :(

I went to Bodhi for my 21st birthday and it was phenomenal! I have being looking forward to the experience for months and had high expectations, which were beyond exceeded. The service was great, the environment was fun and lively. The food was absolutely the star of the show, truly one of the best restaurants in Indy, I can not wait to go back! Thank you Bodhi for an incredible evening!

This place was very good but I think I was expecting a bit...more. It took us 3 hours to get a table so we expected a pretty mind-blowing experience, and that's not really what we got.

Don't get me wrong, everything was VERY good. The food, the service, the drinks. Lots of creativity. But I think it might be a BIT over-hyped.

I had the drunken noodles and while they were certainly tasty they were also quite "busy" and just kinda...a pile of food. There wasn't really anything that distinguished them from the drunken noodles at any other higher-end Thai place. Yes, they tasted good but I was kinda left wondering what all the hype was about this place.

It's a good restaurant but I'm not sure it's worth literally *lining up for* and waiting several hours for a table.
