I am currently holding my temptation to one doughnut in the morning.
Great food
My teen daughter absolutely loves this place!
I called before arriving asking about pie... a lady on the phone riddled off to me the type of pie they carry. I arrived an hour after calling and they don't have any pies ready. Do you think you could've told me that on the goddam phone? employees, obviously a halfwit 😔.
I use to live down the road and take my now 24 year old when she was a kid, it's nice that their is still a bakery like this around. Customer service is ok but seems like they are always anxious to get done and retreat to the back. Donuts are actually really good but get there early to make sure you get the one you want before they sell out. I never liked their cookies personally seem to have to much flour on the bottom and not enough sugar inside, but the kids still like them and that's who cookies are really for. Fun for them to pick out what they want. Prices are reasonable for modern times. They've been in buisness forever and hopefully will be for decades to come.
The young girl behind the counter didn't want to be there. She was nice but very, very impatient.
Boyden's taste is top notch! It reminds me of Rosslyn bakery. They have many wonderful tasting pastries! I especially enjoy their chocolate éclairs! Check them out. You will not be disappointed!
The donuts taste dry and nasty 🤢

The workers didn't seem very happy to accommodate you 1st of all. I get it's 630am, but still.
But the thing that sends me over the edge with this place, is they don't take cash!!! As far as I know the US dollar, 5 dollar, ten dollar, fifty dollar , and one hundred dollar are still the main currency.
I do not trust banks. I'm no whacked out conspiracy theorist. Seems to be every card I do have gets hacked either in Detroit or NYC.
Of course I have a couple. I always keep them locked until i use then relock again. But a donut shop took me by surprise, in Southport of all places.
I just think it should be illegal for an LLC, Sole Proprietorship, Corp, etc, to no accept the currency of MY COUNTRY!!!!!

I love Boyden's. Everything about it. The sugar cookies, gators, custom birthday cakes, the cherry chip! (I live right by the original Long's so that's my go-to for non-cherry chip donuts.) This last time I went though, the first in several months, I was shocked by the prices. Things had gone up like 10-20%. I know inflation is bad right now but dang. I spent almost $30 on eight cookies, a baby gator, and a danish. I love this place, but it's going to be reserved for splurges. 😢

This is something my husband enjoys Cream Puffs and he also wanted to be put on the list for the Honeydew for Christmas, if they decide to make them, fingers crossed for his sake.
I do not eat this, too much sugar too sweet for me.
I don't typically leave reviews but I have tried to come to the bakery four times and every time it says they're open online I get there they're closed I understand they're closed on Sundays and Mondays and for holidays but they should update that online because I've drove long distance to try to get their donuts
