Have been trying a number of fish and chip places in the area. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. I got the fish and chips, which came with a tartar sauce and coleslaw.
The tartar sauce and slaw were both good, and the chips had a nice Cajun seasoning with plenty of flavor. The fish however, was underwhelming to say the least. It was a bit under fried and thus not as crispy as most, and was honestly the least flavorful one I've tried so far.
I'll likely come back for the atmosphere because it was very cozy, and give a different dish a try.

TONS of vegan options! the vegan tenderloin is 11/10!
Our Airbnb was a couple minutes away and we really tried to stop in as many places as possible. We came in here for a drink and a snack. The atmosphere was great, loved the beer, and the pretzel and cheese was perfect.

As a 'Brit' I had high hopes, but, I was sorely underwhelmed with the food, Fish and Chips were odd, there were no chips, instead it was round slices of cajun seasoned potato, when I asked the waiter about the 'chips' he proceeded to tell me these were traditional style from the UK... this was rather amusing. The Scotch Egg was average at best, the highlight of the visit was my drink, the Shandy!
I wouldn't return, there are many other places local which outshine this 'pub on all levels.

Service: 1/5, Quality: 1/5, Value: 3/5 Vegetarian/Vegan Options: 1/5 In short - Cardboard food for the brave or desperate. Also do not go here if you are vegan because you could get non vegan food instead of what you ordered. Further- This has been recommended time and time again by friends, but all three times we have visited expectations fell flat. Service- I find myself waiting. Waiting to order. Waiting to get drinks refilled. Waiting to pay. Not to mention staff hasn't seemed super familiar with the menu when asking relatively basic questions. Quality- I have yet to try something to write home about. If anything eating food here makes me sad because I have wasted money on something I could've done better with, faster and cheaper to boot. Value- The menu prices aren't completely unreasonable, and if you are able to eat cardboard until you are stuffed then you'll leave full and satisfied. Vegan Options- RUN. They added real cheese to our vegan options even when we explicitly ordered vegan. When I questioned the food we received we were gaslit and told it was vegan cheese. After spending the evening on the toilet thanks to this mistake (lactose intolerant) this is enough to make me never return. Beyond that, all the vegan options I have tried are terrible. The vegan burger is what turns me to tears because I can make a beyond burger at home that tastes better, or my homemade bean burgers are better too. The Rueben also was particularly disappointing, and the wings left much to be desired. OWNER RESPONSE AND MY RESPONSE TO THEM IS IN COMMENTS. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-12
Perhaps, today was a Bad Day for the establishment. But not for us.. after ordering and never receiving our orders. We finished our drinks and decided to pay for what we recieved it was only then they discovered we did not recevive our food order, what a waste of our time.

Stopped in while I was in town for work. Excellent options for food, and they got some of the best beer in the state. The ESB I had with lunch was balanced and smooth; the perfect beer for anyone that claims to enjoy beer. Food came out quick and was delicious. Also, great patio for those looking to sit outside, and the vibes inside are exactly what I want when I go out for a pint.

Right off the Monon with excellent outdoor seating - you've gotta love some good outdoor seating! Food was great for the price, except I think they could try a bit harder on the kids food - the cheese in the grilled cheese was barely melted.
Great vibes all around.
Kid-friendliness: They offered crayons and coloring paper.

The beer was plentiful and good.
Lots of seating indoors and outdoors
A large selection of vegetarian pub fare - so much so, we'd have to make several more visits to have tried it all! The food was good too.
Vegetarian options: Had the ploughman's platter and veg chips. Though I prefer my chips crispier, these were good.
