Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant

Very bad experience recently at Buca due to a very unprofessional, overwhelming and frankly, scary server. Writing a private review to Buca directly as I think more detailed information of this event needs to go to management.

Understaffed for NYE. They had one guy in front of house and he was running all over and had to help in the kitchen making pizza orders. They said they had a big order go out and we're playing catchup but were so slow getting in house orders filled. It was our anniversary we made a reservation and drove an hour to get there. We made a to go order half way through and when we finally got our check almost two hours later it wasn't included. He said they were all caught up by then and could get it out in 10min and so we waited. But still annoying that we were there for 2 hrs and still had to wait.

It was an unfortunate experience. We ordered timely, but they did not tell our server they were out of our entree. After 35minutes we had to order another entree. They only had one cook and several tables were not pleased. We will not be back. The server TL was great.

We took our mom there for Christmas dinner after driving 2 1/2 hours to pick her up. Wait staff could benefit from additional training. they and the manager were mostly mia and we were there far too long for actual number of patrons. They were not crowded at all. Food was very good, waitress was very nice and extremely distracted.

Wait staff was overloaded with too many large tables leading to poor service. Waiter was trying his best. Haven't eaten at a Buca in a while and remembered good food with lots of flavor. Not the case last night. Unlikely we will book Buca for dinner again.

Made the reservation 2 months prior to need. Was running CNO and needed spaghetti dinner. Bucca canceled us 3 days prior, left us hanging.

Fantastic food and service and we could be LOUD with laughter and not out of place. Portions are gigantic and super delicious!

Great all! Food delicious. We ordered lasagna, one the best.
Portions are to share. The venue is couzzy with a real italian style.

It's our go to when we are Indianapolis for FFA National Convention. ALWAYS a great experience.

Buca is going down hill, I couldn't find parking on the street so I paid in the garage next door for $15. When I exited with the family it took me to the alley on the side where homeless were blocking the door, we attempted to find another exit but there wasn't any. When we entered my lady almost fell on a giant glob of tomatoe sauce that was dropped on the floor by someone, after we cleaned her heels, we waited on alcohol beverages and a fettuccine for me that never came until I asked about it again once everyone was done eating, the calmari was flavorless and prices are too high for experience overall, the pizza came in one size and the 3 petite children ages 3 and 6 devoured it themselves just go next door for Giordanos!!!

The host sat us and gave us the special's menu and recommended one of the specials. She said it was really good. Then when we tried to order it, the server said they were all out. This was at 5:30pm on Sunday. They didn't have broccoli or green beans either.Kind of strange that two of their three veggies weren't available. The server brought us our brussels sprouts at the same time as the appetizers, which was also odd. Overall, OK. Just weird that the host recommended dish that was sold out and that they had veggies sold out— could've led with that and managed expectations some. 

Our order was incorrect. We originally ordered chicken parm and lasagna. Later told they were out of lasagna, so changed the lasagna to manicotti with meat sauce added. Never got the chicken parm, no meat sauce. never got bread that was promised and offered and asked for. Ordered dessert told server we needed to leave by 730 for tickets. We ordered dessert at 705. Never got the dessert. Very sad, we loved that place, should have gone to Giordannos next door.

Ordered takeout, food was okay but our “3-4 person” meal was more like “1-2 kinda hungry people”. They also forgot our drinks and the kids meals were weirdly large.

If you have a good size group and you are hungry thing is the place to go. I know my 3 star review on the food isn't screaming go but I was the only one disappointed with my food. The penne alla vodka and it left me wanting. I also ordered a mule that did not warm my soup. However, the rest of the table seemed to be happy with that they ordered: baked rigatoni, prosciutto stuff chicken, and the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The servers ALL were extremely friendly and attentive and the decore was perfect for the place so I'll definitely come again just will try something else...

Jeffrey A. Taney was a fun and knowledgable waiter! He added a layer of humor to our dining expiernece that few waiters can do. Overall great food and amazing service!
