If you don't like steak extra-rare, then don't go to Bynum's. Our whole table ordered steak, and I ordered mine "Medium" which they took to mean medium rare. The steak arrived with an exterior seer, bright red in the middle (heated to temp I'm sure, but may as well have been raw). I felt too embarrassed to send the steak back and wound up paying top dollar for something that I did not enjoy at all. When I finished, the plate had a lump of raw meat in the middle - I simply couldn't bring myself to eat the innermost parts. Others at my table ordered "Medium well" and their steaks were borderline rare. Taste-wise, the cooked parts of the steak were underwhelming and if compared to a steak from Ruth's Chris, this one did not hold a candle. The onion soup was delicious, and mashed potatoes similarly good. Overall, I would not come back again - I'd much rather get an expensive steak from somewhere that will cook it properly. My advice - order well-done and you'll probably get a nice, cooked, pink middle.

A meat lover's paradise. I felt like I just stepped into a steakhouse in the middle of Texas - not downtown Indy. Every single steak is as big as your head and juicy, cooked to your definition of perfection. Especially the Prime Rib was a fun one - everyone gasped when they saw the massive rib sticking out of the 2 inch thick meat The ribs were perfectly done, easy pull apart with little fat. they have only two BBQ sauce flavors: regular and hot. Both were Servers seemed like they had been there years - making it fun by boxing up our leftovers for us in fun shapes made of tin foil. Kinda the only good way to carry large hunks of meat home! They brought out a birthday surprise for our friend (free of charge)! Drinks were poured heavy and for the amount of food our party received, we got everything really quickly which shocked us. Very unique interior - natural wood with sections of seating 5-6 tables, as well as one huge room in the back where they placed our group since they knew we would be rowdy! So much stuff to look at on the walls, and antiques here and there. Might be a good place for a company party for large gatherings.

Food was good, very reasonably priced for a Steakhouse. It was a busy Saturday night, service was good, my new York strip was fairly tough.

We dine in and often carry out as I have a chronic illness and don't feel well. Unfortunately we have been told 3 different times they weren't taking to go orders due to them being" busy", I'm not sure how that makes sense but they are losing business this way and loyal

I have never been here before but have always wanted to. And this experience did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great, old times steakhouse, very clean, well decorated. Decorated in a way that it could be a casual place or a place for a special get together. The service was excellent. We were there early and there weren't a ton of people there yet so she was always available and came to check on us a number of times. She was very pleasant and did a fantastic job taking care of us and getting us everything we needed. She adjusted the order so that my wife could have it the way she wanted and food came out very quickly. It was an excellent culinary experience. My wife started with shrimp cocktail, which was really good. I had the French onion soup, which was part of my meal and a salad with honey mustard. Both were excellent, my wife absolutely loved the French onion soup as well, and the salad was fresh and had homemade honey mustard dressing. A loaf of crispy on the outside, soft on the inside bread was also placed on the table For the meal I had the barbecue ribs. They were great. The sauce was excellent and the ribs were cooked to perfection. They were falling off the bone. Some of the best I've had. My wife had the smothered tips which had mushrooms and cheese on top of the rib tips and she couldn't stop eating them. On the side, we got baked potatoes and they were very good and had a little garnish of cranberry and pineapple, which was a nice fresh surprise, my wife even got some to bring home. All in all, this is one of the best meals I have had in a long time and I highly recommend anyone who wanted to go to an excellent steakhouse to come here. In addition, the prices weren't terribly high, everything is expensive these days, but this wasn't so terribly bad. I was kind of surprised that it wasn't more expensive than it was.

Haven't been here in a while and my husband had never been so we decided to go there for dinner tonight. Was as delicious as I remembered it being. My husband loves steak and said theirs is a tie with Hyde Park for how good it is.Service is always spot on.Sides and salad are simple but delicious and obviously all homemade. (Steak fries, but they've never seen a freezer)Will definitely be back again.

Great food and service. Usually when you go back to a place that was great years ago you are disappointed. Not here food was just as good as it ever was!

Don't waste your money, good cut of meat unseasoned and not even cook right. The wine mushroom sauce was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this

Very quick and friendly service and the food was nothing short of amazing. I've driven by this place for years and not sure why I've waited so long to stop in. Large portions and lots of stuff included at no extra. Also the interior looks like it hasn't been touched in years and has a cool ranch type feel to it. Will be by again soon.
