My wife and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary and decided to start the day off with breakfast at a place we had not visited before.
Well, what you know... close to home. We drove over, had a delightful time, and had a delicious breakfast.

Parking: Parking is not difficult, but it is limited to shared parking spaces with other businesses.

First, I love Cafe Audrey, and have been frequenting this restaurant for years, but I was incredibly disappointed with the way a colleague with a service dog was treated during my last visit.

I warned them that I had a colleague joining me with a large identified service dog. It happens to be a Great Dane, but it's incredibly well trained, and is gentle with everyone allowed to pet him.

But rather than seating us in a corner, out of the way, we were prevented from going any further into the dining room than the very first booth, which is where everyone has to walk by to get to the dining room. Not to mention directly across from their coffee bar. This meant trying to shove the dog under the table where he didn't fit, and laying at the end of the booth he was in the way of all who needed to get by or get coffee. This was an incredibly cumbersome meal to say the least, and incredibly disrespectful to my colleague and her service animal.

I hope this isn't the way Cafe Audrey treats all people with service dogs. And the level of disrespect I felt for their treatment to my colleague and her dog will weigh heavily into my decision to return, or not, to this establishment.

Cozy breakfast place inside a beautiful building. Portions are large but it’s so good you want to keep eating.

Parking: There is limited parking near, but there is plenty within walking distance

Kid-friendliness: It is an open room in an old building, so it was loud and you don’t have to worry about the noise of kids as much. I believe they have high chairs and are very accommodating.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get up to the door. It is long as it is a bit of an incline.

Loved this place first time I came several years ago for brunch, however, over the last 3 years I've discovered just how great it is. They have specials every day and their grilled tenderloin is the absolute best! And I don't even like grilled normally. ? And yes, I have it on good authority the breaded is just as good.
But the best part is Courtney. She is friendly, professional and very proficient, gives fantastic service, (even if you're calling in an order). No matter what kind of day I'm having, let alone what kind of day she is dealing with, Courtney has a smile and is always welcoming!! Since my co-workers and I am there often, we see just how hard she works and how she and all the team takes such good care of everyone who comes in. Whether Cafe Audrey is around the corner or you have to take a drive, it is totally worth it!!

Today I went to Audrey Cafè and completely saddened by my experience. I called in an order and spoke with Courtney. When picking up my order, I noticed they forgot an OJ to go that was on the ticket. No worries, went back in and asked someone to assist. The attitude of the waitress was a little smug not the same kind disposition as in other times I’ve been here with my family. When I got home my husband and I went over the receipt noticing we were over charged for his meal. I called it in to ask as the menu item said $15.99 for the Smokey Joe Burger choose ANY side. He chose a salad. However Courtney said we always upcharge salads (though it clearly says ANY SIDE). So maybe that should be have said any side except salads. While trying to explain how this made me feel as a patron as we always go and beyond when we dine out regarding tips and being kind to our servers, Courtney hung up the phone. She actually did so when I asked how to leave a review. But no worries the Google review is just fine. This restaurant has an extreme facade of being kind but it is very clear there may be some discriminatory undertones that need to be addressed. Todays experience definitely did not reflect our past experiences but we won’t be dining here nor recommending our colleagues as we typically go with our family or business associates. Find somewhere else that treats all guest with dignity and respect.

I have lived in the Fort Ben area for almost 2 years and I have to say this is my go-to place for breakfast and lunch. Cafe Audrey has become not only my favorite place to dine, but a second home for me. The food is delicious, and the cooks truly put love into their cooking and the servers always make me feel welcomed and are really fun and add fun and energy to the dining experience. Beth and Kourtney are just a delight and in addition to the excellent food, they are wonderful servers and are the glue that holds that place together. I can always count on Cafe Audrey when I want to enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee, amazing food, and some of the best customer service in Indy. I've been here tons of times and always have a wonderful experience !
